Default H322 vs H335

I normally like to use H335 for reloading my 223 for my ARs. Everywhere is out of stock, has anyone used H322 and did you like it for the AR platform?

I went the other way. I switched from H322 to H335 and never looked back.

If you have or can get H322 use it, I use H335 and H322 as well as Varget and IMR 8208XBR (just ordered 8lb of H322 because it was in stock at Graf's)

Quote:
Product Information For H322
This powder has won more bench rest matches than all other propellants combined. It provides match grade accuracy in small and medium capacity cartridges like the 223 Remington, 6mm PPC and the 7mm TCU. As a fine extruded powder, it flows through powder measures with superb accuracy.

Sorry, I don't know who currently has it in stock. I typically buy supplies that will fulfill my needs for a year and a half to two years out and restock when half is depleted. I have an order with the gun store that I do all of my business with, because the prices I get are not too far from the online dealers where I have to pay the hazmat fee, because it is combined with their inventory resupply order. I placed it a month ago, and figure it'll take a few more til it comes in.

I've used wc844, h335, h322, h4198, h4895, and varget for 223 and have been able to find an accurate load with all of them.

I've tried both. If you're going to use it in your AR15, I'd suggest H335; you can get good velocities if you're trying to duplicate M193 ammo. If you're going for bench target loads then I'd go with H322.

Try both if you can.

Edit: H335 also meters real well.

H335 is a bit slower-burning than H322. It's the powder that was designed for the 5.56 NATO. Some AR's can have some issues with the faster-burning powders. A group of guys did an ammo comparison between Federal, Wolf, Tulammo, and Brown Bear. The Tulammo had significant problems with ejection due to the powder being too fast.

Check the section, "Why Didn’t Tula Function Well in the Test Carbine?", in the below link.

So, for an AR-15 or other gas-operated semi-auto, it depends on your AR. With a bolt gun (e. g. Rem 700), this of course won't be an issue, and for this reason, I find that H322 makes a very good powder for (somewhat) reduced loads in the Mosin, say around 35,000 PSI.

Last shortage i couldnt find 335 either so they had 4895 and i bought that.I had good results with it but it definitely doesnt meter like 335.

This time i was able to grab one pound after election easily and out of the ble i decided to call after the shooting to my local store to my luck they had some so they put aside 2 more pounds so i could pick it up in an hour.
