Mosin pics please
Everyone customizes the hell out of these things so let's see em.
Here is mine. I got it a couple of months ago. I am polishing and refinishing it right now so pics l are in Chronological order... At the range yesterday. Disassembly. Sanded. Stained (red mohogany). First finish coat. Polish, polish, polish. I removed the front sight permeanantly. |

Are you gonna paint it red to match?
What kind of bike is that? I usually don't like stains in principle, but I think I might consider a stain for a mosin just to bring it back to be a little more like the days of yore... Also what kind of scope and where are the mounts? thanks |

The bike is a Honda RC51. The P rail mounts to the rear flip up sight. |

Hmmm, have a link to the scope mount you are using? I've been thinking of adding a cheap red dot to my chinese t53

It's the Big5 special. I got a pack that had stock pad scope rail and strap for about 60 bucks. I don't remember the brand but I would look on amazon.

My custom Russian Mosin Nagant M44
My customized Russian Mosin Nagant M44.
It's a great little shooter when my shoulder can hold up. (1) Replaced the wood with a fiberglass stock from ATI. (2) Floated the barrel and aluminum pillared the receiver. (3) Installed an adjustable cheek riser. (4) Had the bolt modified into a slanted/turned-down handle, and a loop put on the back of the safety (Allows me to leave 1 in the chamber with the bolt uncocked = SAFER than the original safety. It's fast and easy to cock the bolt by pulling on the ring). (5) Got the PE mount installed (which was later modified to fit 30mm scopes). (6) Bipod added with a quick-release throw lever for fast removal. (7) Ammo pouch on the rear o the buttstock. Holds 5 rounds. (8) And a Butler Creek Comfort Stretch Rifle Sling. Only thing I have on my to-do list is to have the barrel threaded at 14x1mm LH so I can use AK flash hiders and compensators. Anyone know of a good place in the Bay Area? Preferably East Bay?
