Default How reliable are 80% pistol frame lowers?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering how reliable the various 80% pistol frame lowers are. Are they on par with a factory sig or glock? Will they last just as long or not?

Depending on the tolerance used and how you fit the parts, quality of the parts. Can be very good.

One must be sacrificed to a dog. If the dog will not chew an 80% glock or sig frame but will chew the original, you know there is something wrong with the 80%.

The polymer80V2 is solid. The v1 had polymer rails you had to make by milling it evenly on both sides. You can imagine how that would either cause tolerance issues and/or eventual failure from wear and tear.

The v2 did away with it by making you remove the extra plastic sections as part of the process and install metal inserts.

You can build a g19 kit around $500 and a g17 at around $450 ish.

Keep in mind, building one isn't about saving money.
