Default Ladies Handgun Clinic in SoCal May 12

I have no affiliation with this...just thought if there were other new people they might be interested.

I'm thinking about going but it's my weekend to work and being Mothers Day I'm not sure I could get the day off. We'll see.

I wish they offered something similar to this event a bit further south (LA/OC)

Here is the official list from the NRA website:

http://women.nra.org/womens-instruct...-near-you.aspx

The only ones remotely near to the LA area right now are Lucerne Valley and maybe Santa Clarita. But, would you really want to go drive east of Victorville to take the class?

The ones listed for "Alpine" are out east of San Diego and are the closest ones to me. There may be one in the future for San Diego being sponsored by CalGuns; but, I don't know where they would hold it.

What I don't get, though, is why some of these NRA WOT events don't offer to provide the firearms and ammo. (Some do and some don't.). If I was a woman interested in shooting, but didn't own a gun yet, I would be discouraged from attending.

I took this class a few weeks ago. It is an excellent class and I would highly recommend it to any female who has never operated a handgun, or anyone just looking to become more comfortable with theirs.

Same here. The NRA program schedule shows the next classes as 6/2 and 10/19.
I was wondering if anyone has taken the class, and was it worth the time. She would have to drive from Bakersfield. I don't see classes any closer to our area.
Also opinions of Refuse to be a victim classes.
