Best is very subjective to each person. What I may think is best you may think is worst.

How do you plan on carrying the firearm? Where on your body. What type of clothing do you normally wear? These are some of the things you will need to take into account.

I've tried a few. For inside the waist band appendix carry a soft Blackhawk is most comfortable. At 3 or 4 o'clock a super tuck or any kydex shell with leather backing works best for my medium frame. I've tried an all kydex holster and it just dug into me any where I wore it.

This works for me.
I also added this glock trigger guard holster to prevent an accidental discharge.
It fits fine in the pocket holster

I'm looking for inside waistband and I generally were loser fitting cloths. I open to carry front or back over side holster, but or opposed to side carry.

I carry the Glock 27 which is the same size as the G 26 with a Cooks IWB single Adj Clip. I carry at 3 o'clock and so far it works the best for me.

https://www.cooksholsters.com/iwb-ho...ble-belt-clip/

Most likely would not work well on a full size Glock, they are just too heavy.

If you're in So-Cal, it's worth a visit to Packin' Fur Defense in Mission Viejo (http://packinfurdefense.com/) to have them help you figure out a holster solution. That is Calgunner Grantar2's store, he's very helpful and knowledgeable. Even if you can't visit the store, reach out to Grantar2 anyways, tell him more about yourself and your needs and he can definitely help point you in the right direction. Really nice guy.

I use Crossbreed Supertucks for all my glocks. For some reason they've been getting a bad rap lately, but it's undeserved IMO. I love mine. Very high quality, amazing customer service, lifetime warranty, etc etc. And most importantly, very comfortable for me - I forget it's even there most of the time.

I highly recommend you take a look at www.Stealthgearusa.com at thier AIWB holster very compact in size and very comfortable.

That's what I use with a G19 and wear jeans and tshirt.

I've used two IWB holsters.

Aliengear 3.0 was good, especially for the price. Big downside is the neoprene backer doesn't breathe. I'm a very active guy and especially in the summer, it was a dealbreaker. If I wasn't so active, this would be a perfectly awesome go-to holster. Also the plastic clips are flimsy and combined with the floppy neoprene makes the holster bend / move around if you ever need to undo your belt for something.

StealthgearUSA is my current go-to. Similar size / shape / concept to the Aliengear but much nicer in every respect. The backing is a breathable rigid textile material and the kydex portion is molded better with rounded edges. The steel clips are better. Downside = costs 3x as much. Certainly not 3x the holster but definitely better than Aliengear.

I too have a Stealthgear Onyx and love it! ... When I'm planning on wearing it all day. Other days I throw on the $35 Concealment Express holster or the $27 Sticky holster or even the $23 mic holster.

Im fat and sweat. I wanted a holster for my G26 that didnt require tucking my shirt or having 2 layers of shirts. It also needed to be comfortable enough that I could wear it all day without having to adjust it for activities like getting into and out of a car. What worked for me was the N82 holster

I'm a big fan of Vedder's Light Tuck
IWB single-clip Kydex, tuckable, and as stable as most 2-clip designs.

I have a kholster for my g27, but any crossbreed style hybrid should be good to go. Even cheaper eBay ones seem to be fine in my experience.

I use a custom Kolbeson leather holster. IWB with 2 snap loops for easy on/off. Conceals very well and beautifully made. Not too expensive at $75 and definitely worth the wait.

I own G17 and G26.

28 answers and 20 different suggestions. Is there any question as to how we end up with a tub full of holsters in the spare room?

If you are a legal carrier, you can't help but accumulate holsters as you experiment with carry methods and pistol choices.

Lately, I have been using single clip IWB holsters exclusively for all of my authorized (listed on my CCW) pistols as they are easier on and off,

than the two clip aliengear/crossbreed style (which I found to be overkill for my G26).

While I am surprised to see that others are pocket carrying their G26's,

it shows how different each person's needs and clothing are...

Soon you will just be using clips.

For a small gun the Clipdraw is awesome. Then I put a MIC Holster or other trigger guard on and good to go. No belts to fuss with.

The downside (for some) is that unless you wear an undershirt, it'll be bare skin against pistol, which might not be comfortable for everyone. Still, that's a great option to consider.

Room room full of holsters in the spare house

But seriously... I own probably 6 or 7 holsters for the G26.
It took me almost a year to settle in on an EDC for the Shield.

A few other things as well....

Ride height... the clips I've seen for anything larger than a P238 cause the entire gun to ride under the belt. I run mine with the back of the trigger guard JUST at the edge of the belt so I can get a proper master grip.
Also the stability can be a problem... common with any single-clip holster that isn't well balanced and properly fit to the belt. I need that grip to be where I expect it to be when I need it and not 20 degrees either way.

One thing that I always watch for is the mag release coverage. The Vedder covers about half, which provides protection from accidental release (my fat rolls haven't done it yet), while still allowing access for a holstered administrative reload. Of course, the clips do not cover the mag release, so if you do opt to carry without one in the chamber, it's wide open.

Reholstering is not one-handed.
You have to locate the now hanging trigger guard cover, attach it to the gun, and then pull your belt out to stow the gun.

There is also the issue of the removal of the gun loosening the pants/belt. A physical confrontation or where I may need to run is not a situation that I would want to find myself needing to cinch up my belt or continually pull my pants up. The hard shell of a kydex or quality leather holster helps to prevent this.

There are a LOT of seemingly great ideas for discreet carry, including off-body, and the various "disguises" such as the Urban Carry. Many of these are simply not well thought through. They look good and might be discreet... but they ignore the fact that you are not carrying a gun because it is your right... you are carrying a gun for the purpose of defending your life. Mucking with 2 hands with an Urban Carry is not going to work when one hand is pinned down... or when you are fending off an attacker or shielding your face.

After you found one that worked well for your G26, didn't the same brand, made for the Shield, work well for you?

Honestly, I've never carried the G26 outside the home.
The Shield is more concealable, and with the MagGuts kits, there's really not that much of an advantage other than I am *slightly* more accurate with it.

I carry the G36 on some weekends... basically the same size as the 26, and yes, I have tried most of the same holsters for both guns and do use the Vedder Light-Tuck for both.

Glock30? I'm not sure the single clip of the Vedder would be secure enough. PROBABLY would be, it is very solid, but I would also not be shy about using the Aliengear with something that heavy.

So I tried the Q Series mini holster and look what happen to my slide. Needless to say i just ordered the AleinGear 3.0. Took over a hour of buffing but I got the scratch out.

I think it was rubbing on the button on the inside of my pants.
