Job Placement for Family of Fallen Military...?

Hey everyone,

Back in 2005, I lost a very good friend and Fraternity Brother in Iraq. Needless to say, we were all completely devastated but none so much as his family. I have made it a point to keep in touch with them and I generally call and/or visit his mother a couple times a year.

I gave her a call on Memorial Day because I'm sure that's a hard day for the whole family. As a general rule, his Mother has held up remarkably well and has been "an Oak", even during his funeral; she would never ask for help or assistance with anything.

During my call with her, she told me that the gas station where she was a supervisor had been bought out by a family operation, who has since replaced the entire staff with their family/friends. So, she is basically out of a job.

My question is: Do any of you know if there is a job placement, or hiring incentive through the VA (or something) for family members of fallen veterans? I'm sure there has to be something like that but I have no idea what it would be. I figured some of you might know...
