Default Hi-cap mag question

If I have 4 HI-Cap mags from before I turned 21 that I got in 1998 and have lived in California since then will I have any issues using them in CA? They have no dates stamped on them but were originally made in the 80's (when my uncle first got them). Any help would be appreciated. Adam

Search is your friend....

If you owned the magazines before Jan 1, 2000 in California, then you are good to go to possess them, and use them.

Your age when you came to own them is of no consequence.

They are legal. Whether you will have issues may have little to do with whether they are legal. Since you were under 21 when you got them, you could get hassled. It would help to have receipts. I am assuming these are pistol mags, I don't see how rifle mags would be a problem at all.

The hi-cap magazine issue is very difficult to prove and pretty much requires an admission of guilt or other difficult to obtain evidence.

Why do we not have a bright red flashing sticky on the front page explaining this?
