Default Am I dumb? Why do I want a G35?

Seems pretty stupid to me but maybe it would be good for 3gun and hitting those pesky texas stars.

Do you have a glock 17 or 22? You can just get a complete 35 slide of that's the case.

The Glock 35 is one of the sweetest shooting .40s. I have a 22 because I got an insane deal on a police tradein that was barely used. But the 35 is one of the best size combinations with the .40S&W.

I shot a friends' G35 Gen3 that was broken in.
Thought it was a very nice shooter.

I went with a Gen4 G34 only because I was limiting calibers.

My G35 is a nice shooter. Get a conversion barrel and you can shoot .40 and 9mm out of the same gun. That was the main reason I picked up a G35 over a G34.

I love mine. Put a few lighter springs in it, and have a LW 9mm barrel for it. Shoot lots of 40 and lots of 9 with it and it's fun and never fails.

Buy it!

Why longer barrel with MOS? 19/23 is ideal for a red dot, when you don't need the extra sight radius!

I’m just going mos and .40 for future options. I don’t plan on running a red dot but why not have the cuts factory done. It will also most likely be converted to 9mm for any comp stuff. If I ever need a .40 for scoring I’ll have that option.

I can hit steal at 100 yards with the 22. I’ve always wanted to see what the 35 can do.

Well, I have the following Glocks:

G19 2nd Gen (1993)
G21 2nd Gen (1993)
G22 2nd Gen (1995)
G31 2nd Gen (1997)

I never really cared for the 3rd Gen change in the grip and finger grooves.

Nonetheless, I was seduced by and bought a 3rd Gen G35. It shot well, very accurate, but I realized that I don't just "not care for the 3rd Gen grip and finger grooves," I hate them. I took the loss and sold the G35. I'll just stick to my 2nd Gens . . . live and learn.

I often wonder how many guns I would have if websites like this one never existed, I was just thinking about this a few minutes ago.

IME, a well built firearm from a well known manufacturer is always a good investment, okay, maybe not always.

Buy away brother..

I enjoy both of my Glocks (third gen), the G22 and G35. Both have adjustable factory sights but I shoot the G22 slightly better than the G35.

Have not figured why.

If you want a G35, go for it.

Respectfully
Kyle

That would be cool.
I understand why they dont make a longslide .357 (even though they make a longslide 10mm...), but it would be cool if they did.

I got a G35, G23 and G27. I currently have a 40-9 conversion in the G35. I also had a 40-9 conversion in the G23, but I use that as my main HD gun so back to 40 on that.

I have several Glocks myself but the only Glock .40 S&W I have is a G23. To me, it makes sense to go to a G35. Not that I'm currently looking for another gun but the G35 is on the short list.

I say do it, whether it's dumb or not.

Do yourself a favor and get one of these. USA1SHOT

You'll get a little more velocity with the G35 over the shorter guns, and there are mounts you can get for a regular slide that don't require cut outs.

Mine has a Burris Fast Fire III mounted to the rear dovetail. No mods to the slide, works great and is only about 1/8" higher than with the cutout.

I can hit a man sized target with almost every shot at 100 yards and inside 50 it is so fast and predictable it is criminal. All you have to do is hold one and you'll be sold.

Haters Please don't say it's illegal cuz it's not.

I have a Gen 4 Glock 41. I bought it sort of as a novelty, but it is an absurdly good shooter. With a good light and night sights, it would be perfect for just about any handgun needs other than concealed carry.

Cause full size and long slide (17, 22, 34 or 35) shoot softer than 19 Or 23.

I had a 35, sold it. I had used it for USPSA Limited class, but got a 2011, so it sat, unloved.

I have a 34, you can't use conversion barrels for USPSA Production class. Even if I didn't use it for competition, I'd go with the 9mm Glocks. Cheaper ammo and noticeably less recoil.

It's getting to where the only .40 guns I have are a 1911 and two 2011 types, all 3 used for competition. If it wasn't for competit o.o n, is get rid of all .40 cal guns. But that's me, you spend your money any way you want. Variety being the spice of life and whatnot.
