Exclamation New rules at Los Altos Rod & Gun Club!

I was at the Los Altos range on Skyline yesterday and it seems like they have some new rules this summer starting April 1st.

The main two new rules:
- Everyone who attends the range will be required to pass a written test on the range rules
- No more plastic on the tin can range. Tin and aluminum only now. Guess I will have to start drinking canned beer to save for this.

Crowd at range has been ridiculous as of late. Lots of new shooters at range of late and RO's spend most of the day patrolling back and forth telling people who should know better to do this or not to do that. Test sucks but if not having extended ceasefires due to dumbasses, I get the reason why and am ok with it.

Hope the test is one time pass and no worries in future.

So has anyone done the test yet? What's it like?

I may head up there tomorrow. If I do, I'll be sure to post about it.

Not good news. Anyone have comments on how it's been since the test was required?

They are pretty heavy on the rules but after a few trips to TM in Milpitas I have grown to appreciate the structure at Los Altos.

the test is open book but very specific. so it's not just common sense but you have to know their rules. it's open book though so you just have to take your time and read it.
