Golden Bullet USPSA match info/registration?
The Golden Bullet is scheduled for three months from now in Sacramento, but I can't seem to find info on match details or how to register. Anyone know if there is a website with this info?

NCPS is putting it on... 3 months earlier than normal.
Shoot one of these guys an email and see what's up. |

Hmm, could have sworn I posted something about this.. but now I can't find the thread.. strange.. It's not that it is 3 months early, it is just that the match is at the Folsom Shooting center and a July match would be swelteringly hot.. they started having their matches in April several years back after a June match had temps in the low 110's.. it is easier to have a match there when it is cooler than when you swelter in the heat.
It will likely return to Richmond next year in June or July.. since July in Richmond is easily 30 degrees cooler than Ione in July. I am not the MD this year.. |

Stages are now posted (216 rounds minimum).
No info yet on the daily schedules, though. http://www.actionpistol.org/gbc2013/...p%20Stages.pdf

Shot the match today. Very fun.
Not a very technical match (no weak hand, prone, sitting, kneeling, etc.), but a LOT of run-and-gun, high round-count stages. Very satisfying to the trigger puller in you.

Well, the gbc generally is not a match where you need work on the basics.. If you want to do that, there are several matches to work on that.. The idea is to get everyone through in a timely manner and have enough challenging stages that you come away with having a good time.. Stage 1 was easily a level III type championship stage being very busy and having a few different ways to shoot it depending on division.
Stage 7, while short, had potential for a very fast victory or as most saw it, a very quick crash and burn. The Sac Valley crew did a very good job (with a few oopsies) in pulling it off. Most people were done by about 4:15-4:30 pm.. on Sat.. (Sun yet to come). |

But I'm happy as a clam with what they offered. It was straight-forward hoser central, which is pure, unadulterated fun.
