Yep, been wanting it for a year and a half, finally saved enough. I've got an old York that is 30 or so years old and ain't ethical for anything but rabbits and fish, not I can get back on elk and deer and piggies!

But the lever gun fix still needs to be addressed...

I can't decide between 1895 GBL or Stainless Guide. Tell me reasons why I should go either way!

Well fellas, a few more days and I'll be back in the Land of Levers! I have three different loads to try in the Henry .45 Colt. Thinking that 8.0-8.5gr Unique will be the norm. 8.0gr has worked quite well at 50 yards, so, we shall see. Later.

Went to town last week to buy one, no one had what I wanted in stock. Went home to buy a Marlin on the Sportsmans Warehouse website, as I'd been looking at them for a while and the goldang a-holes upped the prices by 50 bucks that very morning!

Well, I’ll be damned. It’s like they’ve been watching this thread!

I'm going on my second day in a Kaiser ICU ...I was hit with Appendicitis on Saturday morning. Infection and super low BP is still keeping me here.
This is the first time I've ever been in the hospital

Mark, saw this on another thread. You hang in there and let the docs take care of things. I'll get a hold of you later. Just take care!

Triple T,
If it shoots the 45 Colt, it should also be able to handle the new 45 "Cowboy". That is a wide range of cartridges for one rifle. Thanks for the info.

I don't anything about 45 Cowboy. I'll check that out, however, I wouldn't necessarily want to add another caliber...having a rifle that shoots 45 Long Colt and 454 gives me options.

The S&W revolver shoots, 45 Long Colt, 454 and 460 Magnum, although I have yet to shoot 460 out of it, as the 454 is already beyond brutal.
