Default How long?

WTF Turner's San Marcos? How long do I have to wait to pick up my gun? In one hour, the now serving number went from 82 to 85. Really? I have about an hour and a half after work before I need to be home and Turner's can't ever seem to get me in and out the door in that amount of time. How about hiring a few more employees to better serve your customers?

How many employees did they have in the gun section?

I was there last week trying to get an sks, missed it by a few hours. When I got there I was probably 7 #s back, but didn't wait more than 30 min, if that. They had what looked like at least 4 or 5 employees helping people out.

What I have seen is that there are a lot of new hand gun owners so that means they have to take there hsc test then have to look at all the guns then they have to Ask a lot of questions and have to feel up all the guns then they make there choice then paper work so there you go no matter how many ppl they have working its going to be the same. Next time get there when they open

How about telling the politicians in this country to back the f**k off of the 2nd Amendment so we don't get a storm of goddamn noobs trying to buy every AR, round, paper target and Zombie-ammo-can they can get their stupid hands on? Turner's, like every other gun store, is swamped and they're doing the best they can with what they have. Even if they hired 5,000 people to help out do you really think these employees would be up to speed in 6 months or less? Probably not. Then people would be complaining about how long they had to wait because the newbie Turner's employees were incompetent.

With all due respect you're not the only person on the planet that needs to get taken care of....

LOL about the zombie-ammo-can. you're right about the gov't. Picking up a gun is fairly straightforward, maybe they can hire few more people just for that purpose?

No offense taken! It's just frustrating when you've been waiting for an hour (and have to leave without getting helped) while you're watching the Turner's employees play patty-cake and BS with the noob gun buyers for 15 minutes

That's about what it would take to get taken care of by 5pm Unfortunately, I'm working all day and only have the evening to go there during the week.

this story has been said many times here before... turner's is a chain store with hourly staff and the situation is worse with increased demands...

if you want quick personalized service, be willing to pay a bit more at a small store or FFL dealer where it's run by owners, not hourly staff who does not directly benefit from increased work load...

there are over 2200 CA FFL dealers listed on this link to choose from:

Sorry you missed out on that SKS.

There were 4 guys working. It's hard to tell because they keep going back and forth behind the counter and into the open area. Also, it seems like the managers aren't helping customers. Perhaps they should?

I think the employees get a kick out of watching people wait for hours on end and get pissed off, while they take their sweet *** time and feel the need to BS with everyone they help.

I hate to say it, but the US postal service is serving their customers better ...LOL

Unfortunately, you are correct. However, a good manager would seek to push his employees to turnaround customers quickly (not be pushy, but act expeditiously), in order to increase the store's bottom line.

And then you'll get all the " Damn Turners is only interested in money and gave me the bums rush" threads.

You need to understand the current situation ha them swamped, if you're aware of the problem, you'll have to try and go when you have more time.

You want to hear something REALLY messed up? I stopped by Turner's San Marcos a couple hours ago and there was only one person ahead of me!

My thought is the gun shops should do like the banks, i know you have seen it when your standing in line at the bank, the dreaded business acct holder shows up and gets to be the next person helped even though there are 20 ppl ahead of him. Maybe the gun shops should have a pickup after 10 days line (because you shouldn't have to wait in my case 3 hours to buy the gun and 2 1/2 hours to pick it up) and they are the next one helped

i'm sure banks make a lot more money than any gun store, thus can do more for their better paying customers/depositors...

i already miss the good old days where complete ar lowers go for $99 and i can call someone to place my orders... ;-(

When I went there to pick up my lower receiver, I also waited for a very long time. I think Turner's should set up a pick up window or counter. That will help a lot.

sure, we all want walmart prices but nordstrom service... come on turners, what are you waiting for? you owe us everything for your success, stop hoarding all those profits for yourself.. time to give us something for nothing...

or i'll get banned from CG... ;-)
