Default Put a Springfield Range Officer in jail yesterday!

I was able to get in and buy the only Springfield Range Officer that my LGS had in stock yesterday. The line and wait to get helped was dreadful, but definitely worth the effort. I will update this thread with a range report when I get it out of DOJail. As a lefty, I am going to have installed a Wilson Combat high rise ambi-thumb safety, no other mods planned!

Any feedback from owners of this pistol please chime in!

I initially thought it was just a Loaded with different sights and GI GR but I guess these are supposed to be tack drivers...

Isn't this one limited to single shot in California?

Apparently it is 'off roster', although I didn't take note of that when I bought it. The store I got it from is an LE shop. I only mention that because people asked.

These R/O's are stamped with "NM" and have the forged steel frame and slide made by Imbel. All of the finish work on them is then done here in the U.S. along with the TRP models and their quality is on par as well. National match barrels, fit and finish is stunning, and backed by Springfield Armory's unlimited lifetime warranty. Best deal on a 1911 IMO and the gun that made me finally get into the 1911 game. Extremely accurate!

Sweet 1911! Now you have to get yourself an M1A to go with it. =)

I've had my eye on the RO for a while now, would go great with my M1A Loaded. Just been busy saving up for my deposit on a custom Baer, can't wait.

I know there are better grips out there for 1911s. But the Springfield double cannons etched into a pair of wood grips just looks amazing...

That's a beauty. Congrats. Something about the up-swept beavertail just makes a 1911 look sexier.

Thanks for all the feedback. The wood grips look great and theres no chance I'd swap them out. The pistol is aesthetically perfect as is.

Nice pick up.. Ive had mine for about 6 months and have enjoyed every shot. Shot dead on right out of the box. You will notice the slide isnt very smooth new, it will become smoother as you break her in.

Gorgeous piece, youll love it. Mind if I ask how much?
