Default AI magazine issue

I switched over to CDI bottom metal and AI 10 round mags on my savage 308. I cannot for the life of me get the rounds to feed smoothly through the mags. In the box they were shipped in there was a small paper saying you may have to bend the mag lips slightly to adjust tightness. I can get it to either be too loose and the rounds pop out of the top, or as soon as it's tight enough to keep them in, it will actually leave scoring marks down the sides of the cartridges and is way too stiff to feed properly. Any suggestions, tips, tricks to help me out? Thanks

Sorry just realized this is in gallery section
Could a mod please move?
