Default I have this old gun. Winchester Model 42.

Wow,

What a beautiful, but very expensive shotgun. Nice condition examples $2700 to $4999. A2

It was a good segment on AR, however they really didn't cover many of the variations and which ones were the coolest.

English Stocked Takedown with Vent ribbed barrel being my Favorite.

If you really want one they are around, but if you go on Guns America looking for a bargain forget it. The deals are in Local Gun Shops or Hardware Stores with used gun racks in the Mid West.

Got one. But I shoot the PG version better. Probably related to pumping a straight gripped gun vs the stability of the PG.

Here's a pic of my restored Ithaca M37 made in 1940. It runs so good it is scary. Note the English Stock and Winchester style checkering. This isn't a Winchester 42 but it is the style of pump action Field guns I prefer, and the ideal M42 would fall directly into this category. The most desirable M42 would have a factory installed Cutts Compensator also. I've got all the choke tubes for mine from Spreader to XX Full! The gun will do anything and it lives in it's own "Motor Case" now along with it's accessories..
