Default SOLD! WTS Sterling Arms .25 ACP - $85 or TRADE? (San Jose, Ca.)

Make: Sterling Arms

Model: .25 AUTO

Caliber: .25 ACP

Location (city or county): San Jose, Ca.

Price: $85

Will ship (Y/N): NO

Other info: Hey CG'ers... I bought this off another CG'er and have put about 35 rounds down the barrel myself. It has some issues, including failure to feed (magazine issue), safety doesn't work and if you let the slide snap back, it FIRES . To load a round in the chamber safely, you must operate the slide slowly (I'll demonstrate this to the buyer). I replaced the springs, firing pin, grip covers and gave it a good all around cleaning. I was going to keep this as a project, but the wife needs a new car and I'm selling off things I don't need. $85 - I'll gladly take discreet PayPal and I have 16 rounds left of .25 ACP you can have.

THIS GUN WORKS... can use a little help, though... I think a new mag would definitely help the feed issue.

I figure a little help and this could be a cool, fun mouse gun. I just don't have the desire to work on it. PPT FTF at the Gun Exchange in San Jose. Buyer pays transfer fees.

Trade for an old shotgun or any type, even a single shot or double barrel (side-by-side).

Bump. I was asked a question via PM and I thought I'd add my answer:

Quote:
The ad pretty much tells it like it is. It works just fine, but 1) the FTF issue, upon my research, is a magazine issue. Some folks are good enough to simply rebuild the mag or bend the corners where it feeds, others buy a new one. This can also be an ammo issue. And 2) If you pull the slide back (to load the chamber) and let it snap back, it slam fires one round. This is a catch issue and I've done a few things to make it better. I still won't let the slide snap back, though. However, if you pull the slide back and let it back in softly, it will NOT fire. I am not sure how to improve this, but it's a fitment issue.

The safety needs to be adjusted so it works.

I believe some tinkering around with this gun will make it totally reliable. It's a neat, fun WORKING mouse gun, but it is definitely a work in progress.
