Default 1960s Hi-powers

Howdy guys,

Im looking at some c&r eligible hi powers. I found a mint T for $1450. Decent price?

Any pitfalls to avoid with 60s era hi-powers? Are there other series hi power I should be looking at?

Im not very interested in the modern parkerized mk3s. I want that beautiful classic look.

Nice guns, but that is steep. You should be able to find what you want for $1K or less. There were lots on GB last time I checked.

T series have gone up in value as a more of a collector item than a shooter..A very nice T series would likely approach that price. But it will need to be near mint condition.

Can you own a later C series out there anymore? I was talking to my brother recently and he did not think he could even buy my 76C from me and ship it there. Maybe something about a roster? Maybe he is incorrect. I have been gone from there over 20 years so I have not been able to keep up with the insanity. But a C series from the 70s are my favorites as far as shooters go.

On a side note. Hi Powers are no longer being produced. Though there are alot of Hi Powers out there, but also still a huge following for them. That will likely drive prices even higher on used ones.
