I just took this class yesterday (I think it was the first one offered), and I walked out of there feeling much more confident with my handgun. It was about 3 hours of classroom and 5.5 hours of range time. It focused on defensive tactics, holster draws, and sighting techniques. Awesome, to say the least. Immediately after I signed up for the two day class. My holster draw is fast, and my shots are much more accurate. I can't imagine how much money in ammo I'm going to save. Tons of fun, and highly recommended for anybody with a handgun (experienced or not).

Sounds like a great class and a good time! Good for you for getting out and training with your weapon. I definitely need to get some training time in soon.

Once you complete the stage 2 class (2 day defensive handgun), you can then holster draw and double tap. You get to shoot on the law enforcement side. |

I'm not sure. I haven't taken that one. I ended up only going through about 150 rounds for the afternoon. |

Just checked with Reed's web site - AWT no longer there, and AWT's web site has a training sites page 'we are no longer associated with Reed's' message. I have no idea what that is all about.

For class schedule check out this link-
http://www.reedsindoorrange.com/events2007.html Anything that says YFA is an Awerbuck class. There's seven stages total. I'm not sure if I can afford to do them all.... |

Thanks, ryang - I don't know either gentleman. Since I don't get down to Reed's often, I was a little surprised but it has little effect on me; I suppose anyone who uses Reed's already knows enough.
Nice review of your class in the other thread.
