The SS carries a LOT of hype, but it's a 30mm tube so you get more MOA adjustment, but optics are lack luster as compared, and it's a bit heavy and bulky....IMO. I tested one and promptly sent it back.
The 3200 lacks MOA adjustment but opitcs are a tad better and it has rainguard that really works,if that matters, and it comes with instructions on how to use and calibrate. The SS does not, at least they did not used to. Last edited by toby; 11-20-2011 at 3:44 PM.. |

If you get a 3200, get the one with mil adjustments, it is easier in my experience to have matching reticle and knobs. Plus, if you think you will run out of out elevation, a quality pictanny rail with elevation can be had be for about $65. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/673...0-short-action

If you are going for cost then go with the Bushnell. A lot of scope for a great price. We stock and see them.
If you what a great Fixed 10x look at the USO ST10s love this scopes. Also as CACitUP said the Vortex Viper PST are another great way to go. Mike @ CST

The Bushnell 3200 10x is a great value not many choices in this price range that function properly. And the 3200 10x has plenty of elevation adjustment(80 moa) for a 10x scope plus you can use a 10-20 moa base if you need more. 35-45 moa should get most 308's to 1000yds.
