Default Thoughts on anti drone shotgun shells welcome

The good, bad, and stupid.
Here is one example. http://www.budk.com/12-Gauge-Skynet-...--3-Pack-35975
Any serious and semi serious comments welcome. I'm predicting this will be a growing use of shotguns in the future and in my preps. Thanks

Positive
-Cool Idea.
-Drone killing has replaced zombie killing in market potential.

Negative
-$19.95 for 3 shells
-Unknown range, likely limited given the "net" design.
-If range is limited, then shot shells are more economical.
-If range is limited, then shot shells are likely as lethal and may have better range.
-Exotic ammo.

Looks cool, but videos on Youtube didn't look so promising.

While neat, I would think something that interferes with it's remote control signal would be much more effective.

Quadcopter usage / popularity seems to have faded in my area. Haven't been bothered by one in a long time.

Guess this is just a sign of the times - times are most certainly changing.

When Drones are used in warfare, they come in a swarm.

Shoot one, there are 99 more.

Chances that you'll encounter a drone in an area you are legally allowed to fire a shotty are pretty dang low. While drones are annoying, I think a visit from your local constabulary might be slightly more annoying.

Unfortunately, take down a drone & you're getting sued at the very least ~
Seems these spy/ nuisance/ POS get more rights than their victims (sound familiar)

A decent test with those exact slugs. They don't work that great.

Imo, heavy bird shot would do a better job.

I like they idea. But kind of hard to use them in the city and get around the whole discharging of a firearm in city limits thing.
Would rather see a air launch version like a Tee shirt cannon.
The price of shells and getting proficient with them would break most peoples bank account let alone the cost of the drones destroyed as test platforms.

But good to see ingenuity at work.
That's how ideas start.

I'd love to be able to setup something so that if they entered my airspace they would just fall from the sky. Someone invent that

My second choice is the shirt cannon.

Much more effective, cheaper, and won't run you afoul of firearms discharge prohibitions:

If anyone asks later what you were doing shooting water into the sky, you just tell 'em you were playing with your hose. No one's going to question that.

Jesus Christ guys, some of y'all really need to get a bit more informed on drones. The first thing I learned when my neighbors got one was that they fly WELL above the range of any shotgun, water gun, t shirt cannon, or invisible electronic safety net. My neighbor flies his at a minimum altitude of 300 feet, and usually flies at closer to 500. It's so far up I can barely see the drone, let alone shoot it. Second, I learned what the things cost. Let's be clear, you shoot one and your biggest worry isn't going to be the police, it's going to be the lawsuit. They're basically flying cameras that transmit everything back to their user. You think that they will miss you opening fire? My advice, to anyone who has a drone owner near them, is to follow the thing and ask the owner to please avoid your home. Most of them are really respectful people. In California my parents live on a fairly pricey and secluded piece of land in a nice neighborhood, and all it took was two conversations for the neighbors to stop flying their drones near them. A little good will goes a long way.

How about a drone made to be shot at: http://www.gnatusa.com/

Now THAT looks like fun!
