Default Calguns.net June 5th Endorsements

We are facing an unprecedented attack, not only on our Second Amendment rights but on ourselves as individuals and gun owners. This election is crucial, not only to determine the future of Second Amendment rights in California for ourselves but also whether or not our children will have the right to keep and bear arms in the future. They are relying on US to fight for their right to not only protect themselves but their children as well.

We ask that you as Californians with a vested interest in our Second Amendment rights not only register and vote but also encourage others both in and out of the shooting sports community to do so as well. We cannot preserve our right to keep and bear arms without a voice and we cannot have a voice if we do not vote. We have been silent for too long and we only have to look around to see the cost. This election is a mid-term election and turn out is expected to be low which means if we vote in numbers our voices will be that much louder.

Earlier this year we reached out to candidates in several races regarding their position on Second Amendment rights and preserving and protecting the rights of the citizens of California. The answers we received, the ratings given by 2nd Amendment organizations like the NRA and CRPA and the voting of the Calguns.net community members were used to choose candidates to support and endorse.

Calguns.net endorses Travis Allen for Governor in the 2018 Primary.

Travis Allen's stance on Second Amendment rights as well as his proven voting record shows him to be the best candidate for the office of Governor for California's firearms owners, shooter, hunters and shooting sports enthusiasts. Find out what you can do to help elect a pro-2A Governor by going to https://jointravisallen.com/

Calguns.net endorses Bob Lindsey for Sheriff of Los Angeles County.

Bob Lindsey's experience, integrity and stance on all aspects of 2A rights including ‘Shall Issue’ has earned him both an 'A' rating with CRPA (the only 'A' rating in the L.A. Sheriff's race) and the support and endorsements of Calguns.net and the Calguns.net community! Help elect a pro-2A/pro- Shall Issue Sheriff in L.A. County, https://sheriffboblindsey.com/

Calguns.net endorses Sydne Jane Michel for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Seat # 16

Sydne Jane Michel respects the rule of law and the constitution, brings extensive experience as a civil attorney and prosecutor and understands the need to be fair but also tough on violent criminals. The election of Judges is frequently overlooked, often to our detriment. Help elect a Judge that respects your rights and the Constitution, https://www.michelforjudge.com/

You CAN make a difference in this election so get out and VOTE June 5th!!!

Since both Travis and Cox are rated A by the NRA, and Cox appears to currently be second in poles, only led by Newsom, I'm hoping that, notwithstanding Calguns endorsement for Travis, that 2A supporters will vote for Cox. To me that appears to be the best way to give us a chance during the real deal in November. Please don't let this opportunity go away. Thanks.

I am optimistic, bordering on excited for this one.
I am seeing a TON of yard signs and bumper stickers for Bob all over the SGV and eastern SFV areas.
I'm not seeing anything supporting his opponents.

Granted, it is generally tough to boot a sitting Sheriff.

True but he is only sitting now because another got indicted! I’m pretty optimistic too, seeing nothing out in AV supporting opponents either.

Any other information on representatives or Judges in other parts of the State?

My post elsewhere on voting for Bernal over Cardenas in the 29th District is worth a mention, if not a few others; and it's always hard to decipher a pick for a judge, even if your are an avid and observant voter on issues and candidates.

Can't trust Cox.

Cox has lost almost 16 elections, never won (Allen has never lost one)

Cox has an A rating from the NRA for checking the right boxes in their survey. Allen is an avid shooter (even if he is a Glock guy )

Cox can't even keep straight what race he is in and refers to "Winning Illinois" in speeches.

Until recently Cox referred to himself as a "Progressive Republican"

Cox voted for crazy Gary Johnson

I do not see ANY way that Cox can beat someone like Newsom.

Allen on the other hand is a fighter, and is from CA.

It would appear that Cox is a SPOILER candidate diluting the Conservative Vote! Party affiliation by Cox is up to whatever way favors HIM.

I agree, though it's probably already too late. If Trump is endorsing Cox and Calguns is endorsing Allen, you're just asking for the GOP to split its vote.

TRAVIS ALLEN FOR GOV! Cox is diluting votes and he isn't a Conservative... he's a Dem standing under a red canopy. Polls show Allen not doing well because most polls dont have Allen as an option!

Just because NRA gave Cox an A rating doesn't mean crap. Allen stands for the 2nd, Cox barely supports it. Allen wants to get rid of the CA Handgun Roster, Cox doesn't have any comment. Allen wants to make CA a shall issue state, Cox doesn't have any comment. Vote with what's right, not what the media is telling you to do!

Done, voted. Seemed like high turnout here in North LA County today, I didn't hear from any R candidates except Tom Lackey's crew door to door, but had lots of phone calls / texts etc from D's, my wife and son said same (we're all R's btw). We'll see.
