Don't bother with California, if youve never hunted it. Get a southern Utah tag if you can and hunt just out of Hurricane at exit 123. The exit doesn't go anywhere but about 100 yards. Camp there hunt the whole place. This is on the back side of Zion and if the weather is right the deer migrate here. Even if the weather is good the spot holds deer.

The secret spot is being out in the field before dusk until dark. If that isn't possible, do like in the South, get on the stand (out in the field) before dusk, stay for 2 to 3 hours, then leave and return a couple hours before sunset.

I15. Right at Pintura. This is no BS I'll just never get a chance to hunt it again. Southern Utah tags are getting harder to get so put in early. You missed it for this year.

Pintura is exit 31. East side is Dixie National forest, State, and BLM land. West side is private land and Blackridge Wilderness, not very accessible if any.East side has access if the gate is unlocked.
Theres better ways to access the Pine Valley unit, thats if you can even get a tag. |

It's just out of Pintura it probably wont even show on google maps. Trust me there is Tons of land to hunt I have spent as much as 12 days there. If you try to live by google you'll make it hard on yourself.
