Default LiveScan turnaround time (Solano County)

Hello,

For those of you that reside and ccw (or currently in process) in Solano county, what was your timeline:
1) When was your interview?
2) When did you complete LiveScan?
3) When did you get approved to move on to training?
4) Were you notified via e-mail or snail mail?

I have talked to a few people and am hearing very different timelines, and was wondering what everyone's experience is here on calguns.

Thanks for your input

I figure some people's experience will defer based on the online process and the all physical process...

Hi Rye!

Yahhh. I figured it would be different, but still curious as to what the timelines and if there are correlations between those processes.
Are they processing as livescan results come in? Or are they doing the whole process concurrently and taking into account application and submission dates to process older apps first?

You will find a lot of this data under the Solano subforum. Including my own,

LiveScan is not county-dependent - it is performed by CA DOJ. Based on messages in some of the other counties, it appears that people who were processed near the end of January are still waiting for clearance.

Here in Kern County, livescan results have recently been coming back between 6-18 days. Kern submits them to both DOJ and FBI

Sooooo...what I've been seeing/reading is that it's generally anywhere from 3-6 months (and this is what Deputy pinder emailed me as well). But if were going by personal experiences, I've heard that there was one guy who emailed me a response time of 3 weeks in a Solano county...but Im not holding my breath. I'm just over 3 weeks now.

As recent as last week I was told by the Licensing Official that Livescans are coming back within 24 hours and final approval in Kern County is taking less than three weeks.

Just got my email today that my Livescan is completed, and I can start training.

03MAR17 - Solano Online Process Completed
01JUN17 - Interview Completed, Proceed to Livescan
16JUN17 - Livescan Appointment
13JUL17 - Livescan Complete, Approved to proceed for Training
Looks like it took me about 4 weeks for a turnaround on Livescan.

Default Anyone else still waiting on Live Scan?

I Submitted my Online Application
05 Jun 18

Interview on 21 Jun 18

Live Scan 22 Jun 18

And nothing since. I have e-mailed Deputy Pinder twice, but he just gives me the same answer "You are still in the background phase of the CCW process."

I am confused as to what is taking so long. I am an honorably discharged Veteran with a clean background and history and I also held military security clearances. I currently own handguns and can purchase without issue... How much longer do you guys think it is going to take?

I really would like to get all of my training knocked out before the holidays (while I still have money left to complete it). At this rate (and speed), if I can actually obtain my permit, I will have only 1 year on the permit before having to renew... this is insane.
