7 day Caribbean Cruise. I got the wife to go bottom fishing. The fishing sucked since it was a excursion affiliated with the boat but more importantly she caught 4 fish (the other 3 guys and myself only got 3) and her first fish every caught on her own.

Oh yeah at first she was like "oh you don't need that rod belt". Then after she had her first fish on I put it on her and she was like "this is WAY better". lol women.

I'm hoping to parlay this into a combo fish/ski boat

Mud Snapper according to the guy on the boat.

I have NEVER had a fishing buddy that looked like that!

Good catch...Good fish too.

(Good luck on the boat)

It sure would be ***EXTRA-COOL*** if all you hunters could start posting pictures of your harvest(s) as the finished product (i.e, - your favorite recipe / on-the-plate kind of deal)..........Is it just me, or would that add a whole new dimension to this thread???? (you could even post up your recipe, step-by-step, if you so desired!)

Default Two trips to the butcher shop in 1 day.

Made 2 trips to the butcher shop today. First thing this morning my friend shot a little forked horn, after getting it out, skinning it and taking it to the butcher shop we headed back out to the ranch.

As we drove down the road I was looking to my right in the orchard to see if I could spot anything, I looked to my left and saw a nice buck standing next to our shooting bench at our rifle range. I got out of my truck had to get the rifle out of the case then load it. Then had to wait for him to clear the bench before I could make the shot, buck fever was settin in bad. Made the shot it was about 150 yrds.

If you look at the shoulder you can see lump, that is where the bullet stopped under the skin. Not bad for a Vacaville buck.

Last week, I went to Wyoming for an elk hunt, and brought my Mosin Nagant. I read a lot of FUD about shooting big game with the Mosin, but I'll let the pics do the talking.

I took her with a 68 yard lung shot and a quick follow up 75 yard head shot. She was about 350lbs.

I used Prvi-Partizan 150 graing soft-points.

Default White Seabass

44 pound White Seabass today fishing just outside of Monterey.
The bite is still on here and if you have never felt a freight train on the end of your line, now is the time.

PM me for 6 pack boats here in Santa Cruz that are targeting these Grey Ghosts daily.

Regards,
Mike

SP,
$125 per person....
This includes parking passes, rods and reels, all terminal tackle, bait, and no fuel surcharge, no matter how far we have to travel, for $125.00 per person.

Up to 6 ppl, minimum of 4.

Let me know if you would like any more info. Cooked him up last night and I have to say, WSB is freeking incredible tablefare.

Get a kayak an target them yourself. they are the best tasting but the yellowtails are the best fighters. WSB give up after 5 minutes.

Default Just Posting A Quail Hunt....

The raptors in my area have given the quail all they have noticeable thinning them out. I couldn’t make it out for the Saturday before last opener, but I did make it that Sunday scoring 2 during my morning hunt and 3 during my evening hunt, or vise versa.

Anyway this past Saturday morning while hunting at my usual spot I busted 2. Then on Sunday morning I decided to venture out into the field and scored 5 more and 1 jackrabbit.

HH and Good Luck

Man, some of you guys have some nice kills. I don't hunt anymore but I do fish. Here's my 590lb Black Marlin I caught a few years back in Baja. 50lb test and stand up gear (no fighting chair). Almost four hours to land it. I still have scars where the reel blistered my arm it was so hot.
