Default Feedback on Benelli M 1

I have a friend that's had one for about five years. she was holding it as collateral and the left the state. Is it a good gun and is it worth anything.
Thanks

I have a M1 Super 90, 12 Gauge 18". Good gun, took it to Prado a few weeks back and shot skeet & 5 stand with it. Good gun, LOT's of felt recoil, my shoulder was bruised after 2 rounds of skeet & 1 round of 5 stand, so that's only 75 rounds. I also shot my friend's semi auto Beretta Urika or Teknys? But the recoil didn't feel too diff. Could be that my shoulder was already bruised & they all felt the same? No idea.

It's probably worth about $800-$1000 in the marketplace here.

I just sold my Benelli M1 on here about 2 months ago. It's a great shotgun. The fit and finish are excellent. I had it for about 12 years and only put like 20-30 rounds through it. Sadly it was my least used gun, so I sold it to fund a carbine project. I let mine go for $850 because I got a great deal on something else.

You don't need to register a long gun. You just have to go through a gunstore to sell it to another person that isn't your mom/dad/son/daughter IIRC

I have an M1 Super 90 for waterfowl hunting - 28" bbl. My neighbor has land in the Klamath valley and bought 2 identical M1's about 7-8 years ago. His thinking was that if he's driving 9-10 hours to hunt, he wanted some redundancy, not just a 2nd gun, but 2 that could swap parts with each other if needed.

In 5 years of multiple week-long hunts per season (he's semi-retired) he had never even fired the 2nd gun - the first one never stopped. He sold it to me for $600 and started using the 2nd one which was still basically brand-new. I felt like he'd asked for a price too low, but couldn't fault the logic and didn't argue too much. I've hunted it maybe 10 days so far without a hiccup.

Got an M1 Tactical - almost sold it awhile back and I'm glad I did not.
Fast-cycling, reliable and accurate - great firearm!
