I visited P&L Engraving last week and I got a couple 80%’s engraved. The owner is a cool guy that does great work. A visit to his shop is worth it, if you are in NorCal, you can always mail him your 80%.

Below are the settings he used to engrave my lowers. For the Model, Caliber and Serial Number plus Fire/Safe, he used Bold Arial Font Size 8. For my Name, City and State, he used Bold Arial Font Size 6. For the depth of the engravings, the laser made 20 passes. The engraving is crisp and clear, even after I get them cerakoted, they will be clearly legible. The work looks top notch and professional. Pics to follow shortley.

Bold Arial Font Size 8 (0.120” Tall)
Bold Arial Font Size 6 (0.090” Tall)
20 Passes = 10 Horizontal + 10 Vertical (0.009” Deep)

Below is a post from another thread about requirements:

Thanks PK.

I really need to get my butt over to his shop. I contacted him awhile back but have been busy w/ a remodel of our house (nearly done).

So yeah, P&L, once I'm done I'll swing by with my lowers.

I had a pair of completed 80% lowers done with P&L recently and am really happy with the communications from Nhut, the work, and the speed it was done by mail.

Great vendor, made appt yesterday and it was done quickly and efficiently. Turned out really well. Was very patient and double checked with us the work before each pass started. Highly - no, very highly recommended and will be back to do more.

I just wanted to share my positive review and provide a free bump. I got two lowers engraved with custom logos and Nhut did a great job. He was very detailed, let me preview everything, and triple checked everything before each run. We got through 2 lowers with 2 different multi depth logos, atf text, and fire/safe markings in an hour. They look great, highly recommended.

Just got my frame done. I also highly recommend!!

No one should have any doubts of the quality of the work.

I will certainly have all future engraving done there.

Thanks again!

Have you done any work on a Tennessee Arms 80% that is some proprietary nylon blend?

I just had my Lowers engraved today. Great Job! I got to watch the entire process. Multiple lowers took less than an hour total. I would highly recommend this Company..... I only had minimal ATF engraving done, because thats all I wanted, but they have numerous designs available, and can probably engrave just about anything you want on the lower.
