I've always disliked Ammo Brothers.. mostly from when they gouged so badly on ammo prices.. The counter workers also seem like slackers and are not very polite most of the time.

This is quite common. If they do not have a gunsmith school certificate along with a lathe and a mill then they are armature garage hobbyists.

I worked at a gun shop like that. The owner hung a huge sign in front of the store: "Professional Gunsmithing." He put a lathe & a few tools in a back room & offered commissions to employees who recommended him. He butchered several customers' guns & when they complained, he argued with them. He did replace a Sig pistol that was a police officer's after he ruined the slide while installing sights. Whenever customers asked me about gunsmithing, I secretly suggested they look elsewhere.

I always thought it looked very fly by night when Aids had that gunsmith in the shipping container in the parking lot. I heard he was not pleasant to deal with and I got a bad vibe so like the Cerritos AB gunsmith I trusted my instincts and did not use him.

How pathetic, never shopped there, and after this I never will. Glad to hear you got it fixed by a real gunsmith, will the barrel being worked on affect the price since you said it is a rare gun?

Not with AmmoBros, but another store. I had friend at work at the time, that told me that the gunsmith in Long Beach, was really good.. So I needed a pistol (Trigger) job done. I took it in, and well they almost destroyed my Colt 1911. When I got it back, I could not get it to eject an empty case, or any case for that matter. I was still need to the whole GS idea, so I did not want to mess it up. So I took it to someone that was only (Main business) is gunsmithing. Other then the ejector, it was OK. Not totally sure all what they did, but it took me a long time to trust it again. So I am glad that I have read this, I will never take my guns there... I did a PPT there, and it was only 20 so it was not bad.

Wondering the same.
