I have both on one of my rifles. I prefer the liberal mostly because it has greater space for all my fingers on the grip.

I have a resurgent arms order I am waiting on and I have a sparrow dynamics grip on the way. My only issue with the liberal is that the grip seems a little steep. I think I'd want a little less of an angle.

I'm using the Liberal on a new build and like it as well.

Thanks! We worked hard to make it look good (like it was supposed to be on a modern sporting rifle). Also, so it would be comfortable. I feel like we succeded in both.

Thanks for the order! I hope you like it and please tell others. I agree with you, we felt that a less steep angle would be more comfortable for a featureless grip. We like the angle of the Monsterman grip where you are able to support the weight of the rifle with more fingers, but we wanted to have the thumb be able to wrap around the top like how you would hold a Mini14 or a shotgun, etc. in order to have more control over the rifle.

Other discussion or questions on our Sparrow Dynamics grip should probably be in our other thread instead of this Featureless Photo Gallery thread for forum etiquette (unless it has to do with photos). I just wanted to respond quickly here to those who had comments or questions. Again, I appreciate the nice comments and thank you.

When cured, Aluma-Hyde II has almost a thick, epoxy type feel in the hand...different from spray paint

Definitely shop before you buy...at the time Brownells was charging shipping and hazmat fees which made one can about $40

I saved a considerable amount thru Amazon, link...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Be sure to clean the nozzle after application
I think AlumaHyde-Hyde II is great stuff...way more durable than typical spray paint

And the FDE of the fin really makes it stand out and SCREAM compliance
Much more so than leaving it black which I did on my other rifle

Yeah, this featureless thread needs less pics of featureless grips and more of cell phone cases.

I posted the original photo (in this Featureless Rifles Picture Thread) because it is a cool featureless rifle, I like shooting and collecting guns, and I am very much into photography.
I just so happen to be a manufacturer too.
So I responded to the nice comments that were made about our Sparrow grip then said if there was more conversation, it should happen in the other thread for forum etiquette.

I want to be respectful of the Calguns community we are all a part of.

I'm glad you posted your picture and responded appropriately to questions and comments from other members. I look at this thread for ideas, and I loved the idea of your grip. So much so, that I just ordered two of them. So . . . thanks!

I was so annoyed with it that I just purchased two of them...let that be a lesson to ya!

+1, I love seeing new designs, and supporting those who are making them. I think there is plenty of room for "featureless grips" in CA to all survive.

I currently have the liberal ( ove it) but I've spent time on your site analyzing the grip. So far the quality looks amazing, and the different colour combos is a great plus. I plan on building another AR in the future and the next one will have your grip!

And here's a crappy pic of my C39V2 before I sent her on her way to stay on topic.

My "they don't care" post was NOT directed at you...or other members...
I ratted you out for posting sales pitch info (not your original rifle pic)...

I had several featureless rifles in the past, and just went back to BB because I could not get used to featureless except my Mini-14 (bought it in 1996 at B&E guns for $250 USD). I think I am going to finish registering my guns (have "quite" a few non-AR guns and pistols) and going to build a featureless rifle with a box load of spare parts I have. At this point why not? I retire in 5 1/2 years and moving to Northern AZ anyways

Can someone with the CRG-15 grip take a picture of what it looks like in the hand, preferably with large hands (size 12)?

I am curious if you can comfortably hold it with your thumb over the horizontal back strap and comfortably reach the trigger with your index finer.

Technically featureless. I get a lot of "how is that thing legal" questions.

Thanks! Yes, you're right most are anti gun or generally uninterested. There are a few newer shooters that were completely stumped while I explained why they couldn't have *insert evil feature here on their AR, but I could have a mounted belt fed.

HeyJerr,
Assembled it would take two. The mount weighs about 85-90 lbs, the gun weighs about 45 or so.

I find that sometimes even some shooters at the range fall into the Bloomberg talking points when it comes to certain things that don’t necessarily pertain to them. Kind of like how a hunter might say “who really needs a 30 round clip”. Ugh.

Thanks again for posting. It is not very often you get to see anything nearly that cool. Do you have any video?

You're right on all points, sigh indeed

Anyways, I only have this short video. I finished the build last Saturday so it's only been to the range once for this test fire. 10 round belts go fast.

If you're curious here's the build thread. These WW1/WW2 MGs are so cool IMO.

Default Here’s my featureless build.

What’s up everyone. Here’s my recent featureless transformation. I’ll post a flick of how this rifle looked before. I’m still bummed out I had to do all this nonesense crap to it. I am pretty happy with how that Thordsen buttstock feels. & having a regular mag release is pretty cool after all these years of having to use that ****ty bb.

Put a Exile Machine backfin on my CZ Scorpion via an AR grip adapter. Worked out great.

I think it's safe to say that it's legal because it's technically not a rifle, featureless or otherwise.

Kudos for taking the time, money and effort to keep a piece of history alive, even if it is a piece from them commie furriners!

Can anyone post a featureless sig mpx? I'm in the process of setting mine up. So far I have a fake can barrel extension. I'm trying to see which type of grips to go with. I've seen other using the exile fin grips but not a fan of the big gap between the stock and fin.

That's the trick - technically not a rifle in the first place.

Thanks for the kind words, it was a very fun build. Vodka was required to reverse engineer and match Sergei and Ivan's parts parts

You might try contacting Exile directly and see if they have something new in the works just for the MPX. Even if they're working on something later (like their LH version for AR) I would assume a new back fin replacement would just slide on an existing Exile grip base. They're just 3D printing these things so there's hope for you yet. Plus, relatively easy to change out if aliens invade.

BTW, are you more bothered by the sight of the gap or do you think it will feel weird? I, too, thought I wanted all gaps closed but your hands never go there. If it's purely the cosmetic aspect, you could always do your own with clear plastic and make it "invisible" altogether. (like this guy did)
