Would have started earlier but 15 and 25 yards with irons and a 4 inch barrel is a strech. Now that I am running the show I added 10 yards ;-)

Default Scoring target

Izzy: Nice shooting .............. and all the above targets using irons............. great ......... I am jealous ....... just can't see or hold on target that well.

50 yd scoped should be 142 total for the two touching.

usmcchet9296: Thanks for working on Calguns Monthly rimfire Matches.

Now that I got my savage I've got to start getting in on this action. Nice shooting you guys, especially with those irons.

I use apeture sights so while considered to be iron sights they are really a step above that. In fact for target shooting, at least out to 50yds they are just a hair less accurate than a scope. Thanks for the comment.

I'll give the December rifle one a try. Didn't see targets posted. Shooting with an old Savage .22, open sights. First time I tried shooting it at 50 yards it actually was snowing, which made bracing off a big rock kind of uncomfortable.

This is going to be humbling/interesting/fun.

Just tightened my tech sights to right under 20in lbs, my locktite came loose so I decided to see if a proper torque on the screws would be ok to hold everything down. I really should have waited until I got the proper bit or stopped at 15in lbs because the screw slot started to deform.

I can see why the sights kept coming loose, 15-20in lbs is way tighter than I was estimating without a torque screw driver.

Hopefully I will have some descent targets to post later tonight unless my sights still come loose then I'll just have to try again with some locktite and a good torque.

Tightening up the TechSights helped a lot but I loose the outer ring @ 25 yards so easy at the indoor range. I need to shoot more in the great outdoors.

Need me a target rifle with the aperture sights also, I don't think I can ever get the same scores as you guys with the Kimbers and the CZs running apertures.

Here are my best 2 scores out of 4 sheets. Rugeer 10/22 with Techsights (iron sight) @ 25 yards. No bags or bipods, leaning on the bench. CCI mini mag CPRN ammo.

You should try to shoot some of the rimfire matches, they are great fun but also a good practice tool.

The Match re-starts at the first of each month. So look for the December rimfire match thread, there will be a new thread for January.

bench rest shooters.

For each target indicate your total score and if not already indicated on the target note the distance shot and what type of sights. Ex: Score =xxx, Iron

Sights, Scope, Red Dot. No fair shooting iron sight targets with a scope for score. Since we are using the 25/50 yd rifle iron sight targets for the pistol

matches PLEASE indicate on your target if it was shot with a rifle of pistola.

Rules:
This is an online match. Print off the targets, shoot where and when you want. Come back and post your targets for those in your face bragging rights!! I

do encourage meeting up with other match shooters. Any rimfire firearm is eligible. Shooting from a benchrest, prone, sitting, standing, hood of your car,

leaning against a tree is acceptable. Using a rest in which the Rifle/Pistol can be locked down is verboten.

Bonus Points

Here is how it will work. This is only on targets that have multiple shots on one target. We shoot the targets as normal and add up the scores like normal.

The twist is we shoot for groups as well. For example, if we are shooting 5 shots on each target. If none of the 5 bullet holes are touching you get no

bonus points. If two are touching you get 2 bonus points. If three are touching you get 3 bonus points on up to a maximum of 5 bonus points for each

target.

Finally for any questions just drop me a PM and I'll get right back to you. Feel free to also PM me with feedback/complaints/errors I make, etc... These

matches are based on “Gentlemen's/Ladie's Honor” so go shoot and have fun.

Yeah my goal is to make 4-6 sets of monthly match tagets that rotate once every 4-6 months so I am naming targets for the ranges they will be shot at
give me some time Im still figuring it out

Default 100 yd scoped

The range I use does not like silhouette or semi silhouette targets.

Anything else that would work?

Also, there is two targets when you click on the "100 yd scoped" target. One full size and a second page that is reduced.

Thanks for doing the monthly rimfire match.

Ed

I went to Burro Canyon today - cold and rainy but alot of fun.
Here's the results:
10 yards Irons Offhand - High Standard Victor = 96

15 yards Irons Benchrest - HS Victor = 89

50 yards Scoped - Winchester 69A = 108

and last and truly least...25 yards Irons - Winchester 69 = 3!!! (a total snafu with my rear sight)

Obviously, alot of room for improvement!

Oh no! Did the monthly matches finally meet their demise and I just got to a point where I have free time after my daughters birth.

No they have not met their demise, in fact it will get much more interesting in February and here is the current match: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=668745

I can't find my targets!!!

need to do some digging later...found em.

Is this 4 points for the bonus even though they are separate?

Both shot with bipod & 0x red dot optic.
25 YARD PISTOL - 52
15 YARD PISTOL - 117

And yes...I LOVE my 10/22 charger pistol. The rifle might get a little claustrophobic being in the safe so much now.

NICE SHOOTINN TEX.. I am happy that the new pistol works well for the bench rest, now shoot some offhand with it. I love this kind of competition it's why I shoot these matches, I wish more people would join in. Awesome job Tim.
