Default Colt Sistema 1927
This is my first 1911 "style" gun, I just got it yesterday.

Thoughts? Any Idea what are the proof marks "A" and "F" above the trigger?

Mid 50's M1927 FM made on Colt tooling. Mostly very good guns and you have a matching magazine that is always nice. Possible Army or Polizi. Did you score a holster too? Naval guns are also nice and get scooped up fast. Well done.

Lots of these got worked on the make them better,,LOL. It's true value is just as it is. I lucked onto one with a new holster and magazines about 25 years ago..

OP, yours was made in 1964 for a police agency, specifically Policia De La Provencia De Santa Fe; C.F.S. (Federal Internal Security).
