Today, on the CA State Assembly schedule http://assembly.ca.gov/todaysevents:

An act relating to ammunition.
Vote required: 41

S.B. No. 299-DeSaulnier.
An act relating to firearms.

S.B. No. 374-Steinberg et al.
An act relating to firearms.

S.B. No. 396-Hancock et al.
An act relating to firearms.
Vote required: 41

S.B. No. 567-Jackson et al.

An act relating to firearms, and making an appropriation therefor.
Vote required: 41

S.B. No. 755-Wolk et al.
An act relating to firearms.

It's no wonder that being an Assembly person is a full time job. There are 241 items on the agenda today. Do all these people really have time to read all these bills?

I doubt they have enough time to read all of them, let alone actually doing thorough research into the subject matter of whatever it is the bill entails.

They probably pass a lot of that work to their staff.

Isn't Steinberg sitting in as Governor for the rest of the week? Can he sign these bills as the sitting Governor? Because he will if he can.

I'm simply looking ahead at the "perfect storm" that is brewing in the event the above bills are passed by the Assembly today and subsequently make it to the Governor's desk while Jerry is out.
