Thanks and appreciation to mrlonewolf, you put a lot of leadership and hard work into this and it shows. Congrats on a successful and safe SSZS. Shout out to all the RSOs and contributors. God bless America.

Compliments to the grill chefs, the steak was astoundingly good better than the steak I had just last week at Flemings.

If someone was shooting at rocks and it was identified who it was I hope it was brought up to the RSO so we could have dealt with it. As far as the campfire being unsafe the one at the main site was safe. I don't know where that happened at but that is dangerous and should have been stopped. This is a family event and the camp should be handled like the line. Please escalate next time if you didn't because we can't afford to have anyone injured

Another great event Mrlonewolf. Hated that I had to leave early but still had a great time meeting new people and catching up with other I had met at prior events. Really enjoyed the ammo piñata and Hawaiian night.

Guys.

I need pics of the Chili cook of contest.

Yup, our family event has so many different and diverse facets!; I do believe it was a lady who won the award.

She was against some hard core chili makers and the crock pots were there at the lunch table on Saturdays lunch for everyone to judge!.

Congratulations dear chili master!.

There were two groups shooting when the injury occurred. I had eyes on one shooter (he was in my group and aiming high at the top of a standing paper target at 7 yards) and I know his 9mm couldn't travel the 350 plus yards and ricochet back. The other group was overheard by several people yelling at someone within to stop shooting at rocks. My main concern was to shut down the line to prevent further issues and get medical up ASAP. If the injury was 1/2" lower it could have been life threatening, not a cut to the chin. This happened Saturday night after the RSO's were done. That group knows who they are, I called cease fire and came over to let them know why. They need to police themselves and have the shooter come forward with an apology and seriously consider not having that person return. I know it's impossible to not eventually hit a rock but to intentionally aim at them is negligent.

I want to add that the placement of the "Super Secret" signs was genius.

It was my first time to SSZS and with the combination of info in the thread plus the signs I had absolutely no trouble finding it.

Let me ask you something.

You witness the potential threat and per your statement you did nothing?

Is that correct? .

No, I did not witness the threat. Immediately after the incident I called cease fire, called on the radio while determining injuries then walked the line to make sure everyone was going cold. The other person in my group stayed behind to keep an eye on the condition. I met with you back at my station.

The campfire conduct you speak of was my responsibility at our campsite. I take ownership of it and will not let it happen again. My apologies to the community.

Default Super Secret Zombie Shot 8.0; April 21-23, 2017

I try to do well on my own but as Dirty Harry said, "A man has got to know his limitations ". The agenda did state not to shoot anything "hard" with a pistol within 40 yards. Even soft targets should not be engaged too close to the line if they are on the ground.Last year I fabricated a target table out of wood to elevate a pumpkin to get a video. I too would have shot at it on the ground if an RSO hadn't have warned me.

I can't say I didn't melt some glass, because I did. I did clean up all of the fire pit materials before leaving so there's no danger to any vehicles.

I was the last to leave the campsites and we cleaned up and packed out a lot of trash.

There were many of us participating in the shenanigans at that campsite, myself included. I apologize for my actions and I commit to not repeating them in the future.
