Not sure how much longer you have on your wait time, but it's definitely worth the wait.

Surgeon action, 20" (from recoil lug) SS Bartlein Barrel w/ 11.25" twist rate, #14 contour. Surefire muzzle brake. Jewell trigger. AICS 2.0. Action/bolt/barrel melonite treated and chambered/assembled by RW SNYDER gunsmithing. The leupold MRT 3-9 will have to do until the Schmidt & Bender gets in. That may take a while.
It was delivered yesterday AFTER I got home from the range. Boo!
I've waited a long time for this safe queen to come home. I ordered the first of the parts back in January.
Range report coming SOON!!!

The pictures of the Remington 700s are great! I am just about to get a Remington 700SPS in 30-06 or maybe the Tactical. I am just not sure yet.

I have ordered a 700SPS in .308 and I promise to post pictures when I get it.

Here is my Remington 700SPS in .308. I will be setting it up soon. I will be adding a Harris Bipod and probably a Bell & Carlson M40 stock. I will have to replace the scope first as the one I have is an old Tasco 3-9 power that I had sitting in the closet for a long time.

I'd like to share. My Remington 700

I'm not a photographer, nor do I have a nice camera, but you get the idea.

A normal long Pelican Case is too big to fit in my trunk, so I needed a folder stock.

just got the new stock today.
anyone know where i can get "affordable/cheap" .308 10 round mags that are compatible with the AICS chassis? I think $80-$100 each is a bit pricey in my opinion.

I just brought one of these rifles but kinda on a budget right now. It seems alot of people have the harris bi pod which runs about $100. Can anyone suggest a good alternstive for around $50 or so????

If absolutely not what harris model should one buy?

This is the one I have and it has served me well for the last 5 years. It's an excellent bipod.

Thank you for the reply i could see myself at the range kore than in the field some people suggest the cheaper un notched version for the possible uneven surface. Anyone have a bias either way?

More importantly what should one consider when deciding between the 6 to 9 inch model or the 9 to 13 inch ?

I used to have the unnotched version and it was a pain to get it to a comfortable height. You only had two settings with it, minimum height and maximum height with nothing in between. The notched legs make it ideal for adjusting the bipod to the most comfortable height. I highly recommend spending the extra $25 and getting the notched legs.

I have the 6 to 9 and it's perfect for the range. I believe the 9 to 13 would be way to tall.

Man,keep em coming!!! I just put $$$ down on the elusive SPS tactical chambered in .308. Already looking at scopes and mount and ring. Heard these can go up to 600, but others swear with the right setup, 1,000 yards. Just starting out and should probably worry about 200 yards first huh?

ohonozombeez.....

I have an SPS .308 and it's amazing.

I have a Bushnell Tactical Elite 6-24x50 Mil-dot illuminated in Leupold rings/mount, with a Harris light weight bi-pod.

Here is a pic of it and some targets with 7.62x51 ball ammo @ 100 yards.
