I am a little confused. So Airsofts have now become collector items? Please let me know why this is a "collectors" item. I really want to know.

I see. Never thought the Airsofts would be a of a vintage yet to be collectible. But I see the special circumstances you presented here. May make it more desirable to some..Thanks

I have seen some threads on a gunsmithing site where people convert these airsoft glock frames into real glocks... but the ones they were using cost $35.

Got it way back, maybe late '90s. It is full metal (except frame, of course). Rate of fire on full is wicked fast! Forgot pics of the mag, it has Glock logo like real one.

Why? It's a discussion board.

Well maybe this should be in the for sale section.

Well either way, it has turned into a discussion about airsoft Glock 18's. Not a response to the OP's for sale post.

Sorry, I dont remember what brand it is. I can't find any marks on it, except glock. I'm sure it's one of those.

I agree with you. Airsoft is expensive. Much rather have the real thing, but i thought then and now, how cool is it that I can shoot full auto without the expense. How much would a real 18c cost? Thousands? (If we could even get full auto here). And then there is the cost to feed it!

Again it's not a for sale section. It's a discussion about a so called rare kids toy.

KWAs aren't rare and are not worth any premium. It's KSC that picked up in value and honestly, not even much. The difference between KWA and KSC are the the trademarked features, such as roll marks, Glock logo on slide/frame and the trigger safety. KSCs came with plastic slides, fully trademarked, KWAs came with plain black pot metal slides. In both cases, the slides were often replaced with Shooter's Design or various other aftermarket slides, which looked better, were made of better metal and had proper trademarks. This was typically, but not always, done to KSC base guns due to their better internals and trigger safety. The benefit here being that at the time, it was the only way to have all the features together (Metal slide, trademarks, trigger safety etc). KWA was and always has been the cheap "I want metal but don't want to pay for aftermarket parts" guns. At the time these KWA Glocks were around, they were considered the POS of the Airsoft Glock market, and KWA supposedly stepped up their game when they broke into the rifle market, again, with a line of cheap metal AR15/M4 knockoffs that had no trades and low quality internals.

TM broke into the Glock market a couple years later, which introduced the only available stock Glock frame that featured an accurate frame logo. Prior to this, if you wanted a 100% true identical Glock, you would need to build a KSC base with an aftermarket slide and frame, the frame's ONLY additional feature being that Glock logo on the grip. This would set you back another $100 or so, so many chose not to do so. When TM introduced their Glock line, this was a big selling point for them. As usual though, the TM came with a plastic slide, so Shooter's Design and most of the various aftermarket suppliers eventually made slides to upgrade the gun, but it never quite caught wind like KSC did. There simply wasn't much aftermarket support for the TM and KSC had already soaked up the market.

The picture above is clearly a TM, identified by the standard TM Japanese symbol on the gun.

For those of you interested in seeing some really nice (Not to mention identical) Airsoft Glocks, Google "Junior Glock 17" and do a little digging through ASF/ASB threads. Junior being the forum member's name.

Boom! The aforementioned poster knows his stuff, I just didn't want to write all that out haha I've been into Airsoft since 2003 and even then the 'classics' are the rare guns that run off of compressed green gas air tanks.

I've got a couple of Maruzen P99's in original box sets, one used and one new and they are non-blowbacks which means the gas doesn't have to operate the slide and more pressure can be focused on 'sending' the bb to nearly 400fps stock. That's the rarest of my collection... The most fun, 6rnd rotating cylinder grenade (M203) launcher, most realistic KSC Beretta M93R (full, semi, and 3rnd burst), but my most prized is the MP5 Swordfish. Absolutely beautiful!

Just got a G19 a month ago from stark arms,
Has full trademarks and brand new for 98$

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/stark-arm...l#.U4EgiSi4-zQ

Supposedly they (STARK ARMS)can continue with doing full TM and GLOCK cant enforce them to stop because their out of the country.
They also have G17,18,19...Overall overall very nice gun
