Default G19 stipple and undercut

I decided I would take a crack at doing some work on my G19. I've stippled a couple of pistols a few years ago, but never had the guts to "cut" into the frame. I feel it turned out pretty good, especially since it was my first time taking a Dremel to a pistol.

Well done. How does the texture feel? Have you shot it yet? A lot?
I only ask as I'm sure the "resale value" crowd will chime in. Don't worry bout it as long as YOU are happy. I've cut up a couple

The texture is very mild, not aggressive at all. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but will be in the next few days. I'm happy with it. I understand it's not for everyone, but that's okay.

It looks great. I had my G22 gen 2 done 2 months ago....after owning it 20+ years. If I had done it years ago I would have shot it more 😎. I had mine done pretty aggressively as I like a large amount of grip. I have noticed that they do break in so to speak. As far as resale goes I think I would resell a stock Glock....I would never resel my stippled unit because I like it much better..

Looks great! It takes guts to take tools to a frame. Ive done it myself with a 1911 and it turned out well, but Id never have the guts to do it with a polymer pistol.

Q: did you not care for the finger grooves? Or just want stippling? Personally I find the Gen 2 frame much more comfortable than the Gen 3s.

Great job. Can you elaborate on the process for the undercut?

I think it looks good for a first timer, and you definitely own it now

Looks nice and functional. Good work.

I wish I had enough attention to detail and a steady enough hand to do my own. Going to send one of mine to Stone’s Customs soon. I think they look weird stippled but my priority is function over form.

Thanks for the comments. As far as the finger grooves are concerned, I wanted a uniform look so I stippled them. In my opinion, stippling looks best when it's uniform and has a pattern to it. The most challenging part of this entire process has been cutting the thumb rests. I'm happy with the overall outcome and feel. Looking into possibly doing my XD next.

Everyone has their own preferences. I wanted to try something new and I like how it turned out. That's all that matters. If you don't care for it, that's your preference, I just don't think your preference justifies your comments on this thread. Again, my opinion. As far as selling the gun, if I planned on selling it I would not have permanently modified it to fit my preference.
