Dave Welcome aboard. For gun shops you could try Ammo Bros. Off 15 at Jurupa. You can see it from the frwy heading south. There is Turners up in Rancho and a few others. For a range near you there is the Rancho Magnum indoor. You can google them. There is also Lytle Creek but I have never shot there myself. You might want to give this a try: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=583488

VintageDUG or DUG online. Doug FFT.
Wildomar, but with my gas sipping Geo Metro beater car I'm comfortable highway 58 to the Mexican border and all the way from the ocean to Vegas. I used to commute 75 miles each way to base for 20+ years, so a little driving doesn't bother me. Retired NAVY after 26 short years. No intention of ever getting another job. My wife and I made a few good choices that allow that to happen. (like driving around in a 94 Geo vs a new Corvette). Active in my community as a Scout Master for our local Boy Scout Troop. Love extreme day hikes. If it's 20+ hours, 30+ miles and a lot of UPHILL, count me in. I like to discover long lost planes wrecks as well. One of the very few people to ever hike to the Gambler's Special. I have a 1966 Kaiser-Jeep M35A2 (used to be a M109A3, but we converted it - long story). Love to answer the question - "What do you do with that"? Still have my first car in the garage - a '67 Chevelle. I have a 2008 GMC 2500HD (Duramax with a real 8 foot bed) as my "little" truck. Going back to school soon for Fabrication, Welding and Design at The Fab School in Riverside. Might as well use that GI Bill. I like the S&W M&P line and currently have the .22 and 9mm handguns. I like the Mosins and have three. I built a tactical shotgun out of a 870 just because it was fun. I have a Ruger 10/22 and a Mossenburg plinkster so the kids have something to learn on. I have a used Hi Point C9 in jail so I don't have to share my S&W and I'm leaving soon to go buy a M1 Garand. Future purchase plans are for a 1911 and an evil black gun. And more Mosins once my C&R comes back. Like to shoot at Iron Sights and Bee Canyon. Last edited by VintageDUG; 08-03-2012 at 8:03 AM.. |

Interests: shooting, literature, history. The funny thing with living in Whittier is that all of the Calguns events appear equidistant. Between Burro, Burbank, and Laguna Niguel I'm not sure what would suit me best. |
