AR10's are cool, but they are not M1A's. Just to be able to say you have an M1A makes you win. I would grab that M1A.

I did, finally got it out of jail today. Just debating on mounting a optic or not.

I shot mine for years with irons. Best I could do was about 400 yards. Now I have an optic on it, being much older, I am able to reach WAY out there... AND HIT!!

If you have young eyes, try irons first. That's the perfect rifle for it.

OP
Be sure to clean n lube " pre-flight" your new rifle properly before you break it's cherry. You'll get a good break in and better reliability from the start.
