I emailed them and said itís a frame only. How dose one go about doing a ar pistol then if not frame only registration?
State agency = 8-5, M-F only.

If the system allowed us to report ownership of a self-manufactured "Frame-only" pistol in such a manner without instruction that it was impossible to register a "self-manufactured Frame-only pistol", it seems like grounds for a lawsuit. Please update if/when you get in contact with the BOF.

To my understanding, Pistols could not be registered as frame only as it’s neither exempt or on the safe handgun list.

You needed to register as a complete bolt action single shot

This is not correct either. You can register as a semi auto. Your confusing legally obtaining a firearm with the voluntary registration process.
The system ask when you obtained the firearm for many it was years ago and many configurations ago.
Be honest and list it in its current configuration.
Some may be moving from a free state.
Some made a bolt action handgun 2 years ago.
Itís all the same and perfectly legal.

The only realistic scenario to list as a single shot/bolt action is if your applying for a serial number and havenít built it yet.
Or
You really never changed it since you originally build it.

There isn't such a requirement for this build. The 3.7oz requirement is for firearms manufactured from polymer plastic. The firearm in this case is the stainless steel Fire Control Unit, or insert. The FCU inserts in a polymer grip module, but the grip module isn't the firearm so the 3.7oz requirement doesn't come into play here.

Also, the law regarding the 3.7oz requirement states that the metal involved has to be 17-4 PH stainless steel, and the P320 80% insert is not made of 17-4 PH stainless steel so it wouldn't qualify in any case.

Question for those that completed their 320s

Sig P320

Aside from the FCU, is this everything else I'd need?

You would also need the FCU completion parts which run about $250. I would talk with Chris, I think he can get you a package that is cheaper overall.

Got in contact with him already thanks. Debating if I should just go with a full X5 kit. I originally planned on a Fullsize RX upper but with a X5 lower, but I think X5 kit and get the Romeo 1 is a more logical approach.

Maybe post up your x-carry parts in the marketplace and see if you sell them and then buy a VTAC?

I don't understand the point of the VTAC besides the sights, which you can easily swap out, when being compared to the XCarry. XCarry accepts the ROMEO1 whereas the VTAC does not, which seems like it gives you more options.

If you wanted a full-length slide, the X5 is probably the best P320 out there.

Any vendor sells the reduce power springs kit? The X5 trigger is little disappointed. As a duty gun is fine... but as a competition gun, the trigger sucks.

I donít want to spend $100+ for graygun trigger kit. I just wanna play with the trigger spring and sear springs. Any vendor?

Have you received your jig yet? I haven't received mine yet. I ordered it in April with the original order.

The safety is not hitting the metal. I have talked to several people who did not cut off any of the metal and have had no function problems.

I would suggest that you disassemble the FCU and then reassemble slowly watching the video. At that point if it still isn't working you can check that off the list as a possible issue and move on. Things like this usually turn out to be something really simple that was just overlooked.

I had a similar issue with the safety not going down enough also. What I noticed was when tightening the jig down, it caused the sides of the FCU to bend inward a bit causing all the parts to sit more snugly on top of each other. Bending the sides outward a bit allowed the safety to drop lower and I was able to rack the slide with ease.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

The part marked with red near your thumb is the disconnector. With all of the parts removed from the housing, the disconnector should move to its upper and lower limits freely. Is this true in your case?

If it doesn't move freely with all parts removed then what is restricting it? If it moves freely with all the parts out but doesn't when they are installed then what part is it hitting?

I know the above seems obvious, but I'm just thinking how to troubleshoot it.
