Thanks. I like the walnut stocked ones as well. There appears to be a range of dot 43’s with walnut.

Thank you. No bring back papers and no duffle cut so don’t know if bring back. But certainly no import markings. Overall condition is excellent and looks like was not fired much. Just wear and some metal corrosion as shown where a sweaty hand carried it.

Without import marks, I'd still guess it to be a bringback. Pre-GCA import is possible, but so many K98's have been bubba'd and ruined that it would be hard to maintain that rifle in that condition anywhere outside of a private collection or attic find.

I hardly noticed that at first, but absolutely. I haven't seen many cupped hardwood stocks on mid-late war rifles like that. But there are so many anomalies with German WW2 stuff that anything is possible.
