Default Leupold Scope Rings not Tall Enough

Bought these leupold Rings the other day, had the action drilled and tapped, mounted the scope and can't operate the bolt. I also has the bold professionally modified and it still won't clear the scope?? Any suggestions would be appreciated?? Trying to make this scope work on a Mauser.

Taller rings.

Not really another solution that makes any sense.

Bolt handle needs to be worked. Send it to a gunsmith who does that type of work.

Interesting, had a gunsmith bend it down 90 degrees, never seen that type of bolt work before?

Those are the "super high" leupold rings, would have to have it re-tapped for a different system, would rather try and make this set up work, like the modified bolt above. Anyone know who does this type of work??? I would be willing to ship it off?? Thanks for your help

Is there enough clearance for your safety to flip over? I came across a scoped k98 a few years back, and while I was tempted there were just too many compromises to make it work. And yes, get the bolt contoured like that. I think most modern bolt action guns have their bolt handles shaped like that.

Well, got the bolt back from Finchers Corner, absolutely flawless. Completely clears the scope, he actually re-forged the original bolt handle. Added a Timmney off-set safety too, works and looks perfect. Thanks for the suggestion, I would highly recommend Finchers Corner, great Duo from Texas! Thinking of my next bolt to send them.

Thanks TMB1!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful bolt!

Now get that scope leveled, aligned, and mounted properly.

Yours looks good!
I had a action with straight bolt and crap barrel, so I bought a NOS Yugo 8mm barrel and had Finchers Corner fix the bolt handle and made a hunting rifle.

Thanks X 3!!! Very nice looking hunting rifle TMB1, that's one of the best looking sporterized Mausers I have seen. This rifle is a 8mm Yugo as well, will get er set up and dialed in soon.
