No, I don't like fake cans at all. What's the point?

In less than 30 days I will be back in Virginia and will be sending in my paperwork for a Surefire SOCOM RC can.

I'm not a fan, but I have a fs2000 on the way with a fake can. I'm hoping it's not to hard to take off the flash supressor and put on the mfi muzzle break. Anybody done it?

They are about as useful as tits on a cow.

Of course... I heard some of those midwest folks really like their cows so...

It adds bulk and nothing else. Unless it's being used to meet the OAL, I don't like them.

I would put one on my AR, but only if it slips over my current 14.5 inch barrel completely, if those exist, point me in the right direction

Even tho they serve no function whatsoever, I love the fake can look especially when it slips over the barrel.

Just get a bull barrel and machine it to look like a can. Thats the only way i could see a fake can as being useful. Otherwise, its just pointless and an uninformed cop might screw you for it, even with my idea... So dont even use my idea... They are just ridiculous...

Not a fan of them on my guns...don't mind them on my women.

Don't want the added weight for zero return. If I am going to add something to the rifle it needs to serve a real purpose.

Whats the point on a gun? Now if we are talking bewbies then heck yeah! Nothing gets the little soldier to stand at attention quicker than a nice supple set of cans!

It might not be your thing, but combat video games are enjoyable. Not everyone playing them is a 14-year old screaming racial slurs into a headset. However it's a documented fact that spinning rims are retarded

I'd put one on a .22lr upper but not anything else. I don't think that is a fake can in OPs picture, unless I'm wrong. Looks real. I couldn't find a fake can with the qd collar online.

Ops rifle looks like a MK18 CQBR clone. I don't think adding a fake can is dumb if it's for clone purposes. However, I wouldn't want one permanently attached to any rifle of mine.

If CA ever allows us to own suppressors, I'd definitely want a few real ones.

I only like fake cans if they add length to the meet the law, or to cover a longer " pencil " barrel , like on the UZI / MP5 and other carbines that have a 16'' barrel.

How about a barrel shroud? What's the consensus on those? I have a Sig 556 Classic Patrol with shorter Swiss hand guards. The 16" barrel protrudes quite extensively out and looks pencil thin.

Cans look great on a rifle! And I like fake cans only because real ones aren't allowed in CA. But then again, to each his own.
