Default A Blonde touched my wood at the Bar

So I meet big103 at the Black Diamond Tap Room to taste some Beers. The Rampage IPA was superb, BTW. So I whip out my wood & this cute blonde lady strokes it & says, after the fact, "can I touch it?"

So yes my new 03A3 stock from the CMP came in today. I have my hardware from Sarco! So Woo Hoo! But I'm looking at the stock & I am not sure what the CMP did to it. I checked the website & they don't say if it has a finish. Only it's new American Walnut. Does anyone know if they put a finish on it? I sent an email, but it won't be answered till monday at the earliest.

Don't want to assemble the rifle till I'm sure.

So looking at the pics, does it look like a finish has been applied? I can't really tell.

BTW, I thanked the cute blonde for touching my wood & she said "sure, anytime Sweetie" Well she did have a couple of strong beers...

Wow, the grain on that stock is outstanding. It looks like it's had initial finishing but not final.

Nice!

I can comfortably and secure-in-my-manhood say: Nice wood, man, nice wood Are the CMP stocks repros or old unissued stock/replacement parts?

I'm pretty sure those are Boyds stocks or some other newly made stock.

Looks unfinished to me but fairly nicely sanded.

My wood is older, finished, greasy and distinguished looking with my steel butt.

I can say everything told in this story is absolutely true.

Except she tried to pick me up first. Before Bruce got there.

Ok, thanks, I wasn't sure; looked to new to be unissued but wasn't sure.

Greasy AND distinguished wood? Sounds Italian with a splash of grey.

Well it was a random spur of the moment, moment. Like the time I got hit on by this Flight Attendant in Chicago, every guys fantasy. (one of the few times a Woman ever hit on me) So We're talking about what to do on her Layover in SF, when the Flight is cancelled. I go to another Plane & she goes to?? Holy missed opportunity,

They usually have a bit of stain to help match the main stock and handguard color, and they've had maybe one coat of BLO on them. Put a half dozen coats of BLO or tung oil on it and you'll be a happy camper.
