Sig SP2022 'Review' sorry no pics
Just picked up my new sig sp2022 9mm and put roughly 200 rounds down the pipe For being a cheaper pistol, i am extremely happy with it and have fun shooting it. at 7-9yards (shooting cheap ammo) i was shooting 3/4-1" groups during slow fire. the gun had a way different trigger pull than my 229 does, so at the beginning it threw me off a bit. has a shorter reset, but trigger pull itself is much longer, especially in double action. Didn't have a single mis-fire either.
Just thought i would share with you all my experience and clarify any thoughts/conerns anyone had on sig's go at polymer pistols. Not a bad gun for $447 including ns, shipped. i am definitely looking forward to shooting it again! edit: sorry, but no pics...didnt really think about it when i was there...next time! |

FINALLY A REVIEW!!! woooo HOOO...
so let me ask since you have a 229... if one was REALLY wanting a 229 but saw how cheap the 2022's where... would you suggest buying the 2022.. or just saving a few more weeks and getting the 229 |

Congrats. Just shot mine in .40 for the first time this morning at OC Indoor. My son and I popped off about 180 rounds. My son had 4 failures in the first 80 and I had 1 in the next 100. Not too worried, still breaking it in.

Save up and get the pistol you REALLY want. Why would you consider even settling?

i love old w german Sigs. i wouldn't think of buying a new one just because it costs more money. i also wouldn't buy a new one because it costs less. i've learned to go for the one that's on my list; the one i really want. neither of the two guns mentioned are slouches. but get what you want. |

You should really try to save up for what you want.. but test both out if you can. Personally.. and I know I might be a minority here.. but I shot the SP2022 better than any of the P-Series Sigs out there.

honestly, like the guys said save up for what you really want because there IS a difference. the trigger on the 229 is FAR more smooth than on the sp2022. That being said, this gun has honestly have to be the best $400 i have ever spent. i recently shot an fn fnp-40 and this pistol is right on par with that one (for roughly $150-200 cheaper). only downside- comes with one mag....
