Please post some pics of exchange kits. Thanks

Just wanted to put it out there that Chris is a stand up guy and he does everything he can for his customers. He was patient with me asking questions on kits, figuring out which one I wanted, even patient letting me find a place to ship it cause Iím not home during the day to sign for it. 10/10 customer service

I don't think anyone here has a problem with Chris? Chris may end up as a victim of JSD failure to produce the jig in the quantities needed for his customers. JSD really needs to get with the program and contract out the jig production to a shop that can produce the quantities needed before the deadline.

The rx exchange kits are 599 with 2 mags and case. The 399 exchange kits are for the carry 9 models I have an abundance of.

P250 kit is 580. 480 without insert.

Add 300 for .22 conversion barrel and 2 mags

Remember these are limited stock. This firearm is discontinued. Only so many new ones left..

There's nothing he can do but wait for the jigs at this point... There was some advice earlier in the thread about a path to volreg in the event that the jigs are delayed slightly. I of course can't condone it publicly, but its a path.

Finally, got my with engraving. Doesn't look like I got night sights though, or I don't know what I'm looking for, looks dark. Also, the last number on engraved serial is too far right and doesn't fit in the cutout frame window.

Have you pushed the fcu to the rear of the grip all the way?

Yep, 3/4 of the last number is still hidden, don't know if it's acceptable or not.
Looks like it was miscalculated, because half of allotted space to the left is blank.

7 chars is not a problem, it can fit double that, I think. Mine is 8 and there is room.

Who did you get it engraved by? If by the shop Chris uses then push your frame all the way back....it is a tight fit and may feel it seated all the way but it isn't. I got mine last night and thought the same.

Yep, same shop.
OK, I'll try it again when I get home, but I'm pretty sure it was all the way back, it was tight fit.

if you have it properly seated towards the rear of the frame with the 2 little tabs lined up at the rear, it seems that this is the correct position for the fcu in the frame. This is consistent with factory fcu placement inside the frame.

It check out, I did it the first time properly, seated properly all the way to the rear, with tabs going under.
The real question is, forgetting the looks, last number not FULLY showing, problem-problem? Legally, I mean...

I don't think you need caliber for handgun. Just need:

Manufacture: your name
City & state: your city and state that you live.
S/n. : Whatever you pick for now (prior jul 1st)

No one is a victim of JSD Supply. The jigs are in production. The second shop is coming online this week. Pre-Orders and Back-Orders are just that. Was there something that indicated that jigs are in stock? We have been upfront every step of the way with what is happening.

With our 2nd shop we will be able to burn through the ENTIRE back log in about 3 weeks total. That includes mine, F&F and all of our other dealers orders.

We want to get these out to everyone ASAP especially all of our California customers.

So with the 2nd shop in production will you be able to revise the rough shipping schedule so we in CA can get a better idea on when we should be getting them?

Back to my engraving issue... contacted Chris, he suggested I contact Atomic Engraving. Just got a reply from atomic, basically "The Easy solution is to open the frame window to be able to see the entire SN".
Not too happy...

I personally wouldnít worry about. You are in compliance by having it engraved and the grip is easily removable for half of the last digit. I bet if you look at factory sigs that you would see that happen occasionally.

I also wouldnít stress until you get the insert completed. Mine have all been really tight and the takedown lever when itís inserted seats them all the way.

That sucks to hear... I'd be pretty upset as well... I would personally not mess with the grip module....

Highly doubtful that SIG would release any pistols with serial numbers that were partially blocked. ATF would probably not be happy about that.

There is definitely a correct way the insert seats into the module. And it's very easy to think you've got the insert properly seated when you don't, especially when your insert isn't completed.

While he may be compliant having the engraving done, anyone LE that decides to inspect the pistol might not be too thrilled about it not being able to see the complete serial. Just my $0.02.

I'm not saying all sigs have it, but when you look that window is not very big at all. I'm not saying you can't read it, but it might be slightly obscured at one edge.

I really think the problem will be resolved once the takedown lever is installed. Especially if it is only half a number that is obscured. From what I understand Mike engraves the frame with it in a grip.

Mind posting a photo to show it actually is in all the way and seated properly? Not saying you are wrong, but would help to show it is.

One of us misunderstood then, my understanding was "opening the frame window", not sure how the engraving gets fixed.
I'll contact him again...
