know this might of been answered, but this previous calguns thread goes in depth on "device": https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...d.php?t=916098

how does the Mag Coupler address the specific ambiguity of "device" that has the capacity to hold >10rds?

This is a non-issue and we have been beating this topic to death in a number of product threads over the last 3 years of shipping the couplers. Take a look at post 37 here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1283114

got it; apologies, tried to track it down but i vaguely recall the acceptance of rotating tubular mags/side-tubes for shottys being ok in CA and makes sense. any chance for a full PDF of that ruling? i like to keep docs like these when i travel so it's available at moment's notice.

somewhat makes sense since i walked into Turners to get a 3-mag coupler for 10/22 10rd drum mags; always thought there was a "tool req'd" vs "tool-less" stipulation that made a coupler legal vs illegal. since the 10/22 coupler was tool-less (technically you could assmble and disassemble with your fingers), it was a-ok.

ordering two packs of 3 now!

Mag couplers are an old concept. This is just a new design.

Not even having read the prior threads, it's obvious that they do not violate any mag capacity laws because even though the mags are coupled, you still need to do a mag change to reload.

Darn. I should have read this thread before purchasing. Missed out on the free shipping. I will get it next time.

I did receive my magcoupler order last week. This is a great product, and though relatively inexpensive, they are extremely high quality. The quick access to an additional 10 rounds makes a huge difference on the effectiveness of a California AR.

American entrepreneurial ingenuity always trumps meaningless government regulation.
