Default SPORTSMAN'S WAREHOUSE...SOME DEAL! NOT!!

A few days ago I received a 2013 Black Friday "in store ad" for Sportsman's Warehouse. Two particular items that I was most interested in was a gun safe and an air rifle. A few minutes ago I receive a 2013 Black Friday "online ad" for Sportsman's Warehouse. [/B]Look at the prices listed:

ONLINE AD: Browning Yukon Gold YG20 Gun Safe: $749.99
INSTORE AD: Same exact gun safe for $649.99

ONLINE AD: Gamo Whisper Air Gun - $229.99
INSTORE AD: Same exact Gamo air gun - $169.99

I thought the idea was that it costs LESS to buy online as opposed to in store. Apparently I'm WRONG!

Well, it depends. For online purchases, and assuming you're not going to do a will call and show up at the store to pick up, they would have to pay to ship it out. Hence, the higher price. In store, they don't have to ship it anywhere, unless you tell them you want it shipped. Then they just add the shipping cost to it and charge you for it.

If retailers wanted you to not visit their stores they wouldn't be opening stores up on Thanksgiving now instead of Black Friday. That's why they have doorbusters, you're more likely to spend more money in store than you would online.

Not everybody takes part in the black friday craziness, some stores realize that and offer great pricing to attract those customers. Other stores don't get it, and are still operating the "old way"

Maybe we need to add a complain section to this thread?

Maybe somebody at the copy shop screwed up. With Sportsmens so close to me I've ordered big stuff online before and had it "shipped to the store" which is free. Then I go down and pick it up while saving $40+ on shipping.
