Bought it new at Reeds in San Jose when they were located on Alum Rock (blvd-ave-rd). I didn't have a clue back then in the pre-internet cusp of the computer era as to how well these revolvers were made but I distinctly wanted a Colt revolver. I had enough money at the time to buy it and lived without some bachelor cash for a while but belive me, if you don't own one, hopefully you can find one just to shoot a cylinder's worth. .357, .38+P, .38, it truly enjoys any ammunition you can serve up.
