Default AK47 Iron Sights

I'm not sure how to use the range selector. I marked each picture with a red, white, or green line. Which color am I suppose to use as a guide? Thanks.

Im not 100% sure, but i can tell you what i do. I put it on the last all the way back and zero at 25yards. Thien get your drift lined on the front sight and get your impact up about 1" high. Then move the rear to the 1 and zero the target at 100 yards. It should be close and you can fine tune at that distance. Like i said this is probably not right, but thats what i do and it works good for me. I line mine up like you have in pict. #2

Not helpful at all. The AK link is bad. The SKS just tells you that you can adjust from 100 to 10000m. I want to know which side of the sliding metal do I use? That's why I took those pictures with the three colored lines. Once I know that It's a matter of adjusting the front sight appropriately. So when it's time to shoot the 200m, which I doubt will ever need to, I can slide it to the 2 and know which part of the slide I should be on.

By the look of my pictures, I am guessing the green line is where I need to line up to the appropriate number.

I use the 'green' line part to line up my shots. Works as good as an AK can be expected to.

It should be the green one, another way to check is, look at the sight ramp sideways and you will see it gradually come down, bottom out and then jump, the lowest point on the ramp should correspond to setting 1 (100 meter zero) the jump should correspond to P (battle zero aka 300 meter)

Picture #2 with the green line on the 100m mark is the winner!
