Oh yeah... last thing I am going to say before I start to study my online class

AK PISTOL PARTS KIT..... $500 for a romy g cut down
$700-800+ for a krink kit
Then you add all that other BS plus bending your flat and making it....

point is... don't piss and moan about the price we are friggin getting a complete Draco for less than a parts kit or like someone said.... the same price as a friggin airsoft gun.

My middleman is going to call me by the end of today to let me know what's going on. I do NOT plan on dragging this out. If we can't get them, we can't and everyone's money will be refunded.

BTW seems like the majority want JumboPanda to make things easier.

so far example I will probably give me until tomorrow to find another vendor if not then we will get our money back UNLESS he can find someone else. If the price changes and I hope it won't, I will let everyone know. Remember if the price changes, I have to pay the difference too

oh you know if this happens, I'm going to be at Irvington Arms with a camera! You will probably see me hugging the box or crate full of Dracos and laying next to them on the floor when they are taken out.

Haha and then.... we will all have an excuse after 10 days to go to Panoche or somewhere that we can have FUN

Classic Arms dropped their price down to $369 with free shipping. I know that they do not ship to CA - but since our middleman is out of CA, he should be able to order it without any problems.

im on the phone with Classic Arms, they will be receiving their shipment on friday and they have 30 that they can give us for 349 + shipping and that would come out to ~370.

I think we should let Z ME FLY continue to negotiate this, since he has all the info.

I TALKED WITH ED THANKS BUDDY....

After I got off the phone with Ed I called our Middleman. He is confident that we got something from the source. Think about it, if they are getting more on Friday it's coming from somewhere right? Funny thing is I didn't think about that until our Middleman was telling me while he was laughing that we shouldn't worry. I'm confident that we will get our Dracos now. For those that know the middleman you know they wouldn't screw us over, RIGHT?

Yes this is what I hope for him too. Making $20-30 per Draco is not fun.

BTW I just checked my PMs and we are going JumboPanda unless the middleman says otherwise. Also, JumboPanda is easy to uninstall if you decide to change to something else also. This I hope also saves the step of everyone having to paypal me. Sorry to those that wanted SolarTact but this is for the ease of everything.

I'm guessing it's way too late for this one - there is a pretty huge back-up list already, from what I understand. But I would stay tuned to this forum for other group buys down the road... possibly even a Draco Pt. 2!

I wish! Well I'll probably be gone for the next 2 hours if not more cause I gotta go to the library and read those 300 pages. Whatever I can't read I have to copy. So if you are wondering WTF I am at you will know. I'll give the middle man a call around 3pm to see where we are at. I'll probably text BigEd or Bootcamp to let you guys know what is happening.

ok guys just got a few texts from Zmefly:

He said that Century arms (the importer) told our Middleman that they are out of stock.

Classic arms has them and is willing to ship to our middleman provided he is provided with section codes and explainations this we are doing this legally.
Somebody needs to send zmefly a PM explaining how this AK pistol transfer is legal so he can send the explaination to Classic arms.

Also zmefly wanted to let everyone know that the cost should be going up by ~$60.

Classic arms will be receiving ~70 Ak pistols on friday and they seem to be the only FFL in the county that has them. Lets jump on this and pay the extra $60.

I am in still if we can still get them, sucks a tad that we have to pay more now. Hopefully Classic Arams can send the mag as a kit too then.

This is from Oaklander:
---

That being said, here is how to get an AR / AK pistol in California. . .

1) You must start from either a DEDICATED pistol receiver or an 80 percent receiver. Whatever you do, NEVER ever build a pistol from a rifle receiver.

2) You can get a 100 percent pistol receiver by PPTing it from a LEO or someone who got one from a LEO. You can't just order one from out of state (or in state), since bare pistol receivers don't meet California's "safe handgun" laws.

3) When you build the pistol, you must be aware of ATF "constructive possession" issues. For example, having a short AR barrel and a bunch of unbuilt AR rifle receivers laying around is not a good idea. The general rule is to NEVER have the components for making an SBR in your custody or control. Unless, of course, you have a tax stamp from the ATF that allows you to possess a SBR! Even then, it would only apply to that specific SBR. So see above.

4) With respect to AK pistols (I am not an expert on building AR pistols), you MUST use a pistol trunnion for the rear trunnion. Using a rifle trunnion opens you up to constructive possession of an SBR, even if you do not affix a rifle buttstock to the pistol. I guess you could somehow weld up a rifle trunnion to not accept a stock, but it's easier to just buy one.

5) When you BUILD the pistol, it must be built as a single shot pistol. This is how you avoid the unsafe handgun laws (they don't apply to single shot pistols over a certain size).

Quote:
12133. [. . .] (b) The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to a single-shot pistol with a barrel length of not less than six inches and that has an overall length of at least 10 1/2 inches when the handle, frame or receiver, and barrel are assembled.
6) There appears to be no law that forbids you from LATER converting the single shot pistol to fire more than one shot. But you might wish to document your original build so that you can prove that you built a single shot pistol.

7) AR and AK pistols MUST have a fixed magazine (such as a BB) and must hold no more than 10 rounds in the mag.

Quote:
12276.1. (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall also mean any of the following: [. . .] (4) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following: (A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer. (B) A second handgrip. (C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning his or her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel. (D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip. (5) A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.

Do we just call the middleman and approve of the additional $60?

A++ for the group effort. Unfortunately I only have an I phone @ this time. Maybe an FFL can better explain it to Classic Arms to get this going, maybe Dmitry from IAC can help out to straighten up their questions/doubts on the CA legal process.
