Yeah, not great for just one, but flat rate for ANY quantity.

Good to see they are back in stock. I bought 3 (to meet the free shipping minimum) when they were in stock a week and a half ago. They shipped to my FFL and are in Jail today.
I think there is still free shipping for orders of at least $150 with coupon "FALL FLING" |

Fort Courage in Simi transferred the one's I bought. They charge $60 (that includes DROS) for up to three. After that, it's $10 a piece. So, make it easy and buy 7 for a total of $100 in DROS and transfer fees.

great seller.
I bought a few when they were $65. I put two of them together with no issues. I did know about the free shipping coupon code. They emailed me and refunded me my shipping and let me know about it then.

Ive built maybe nine guns with them. All shoot straight and have zero issues. Hard to go wrong with them. BTW she says they are all made in the USA.

I've got some of these at Fairfield Pawn. He charges $20 PER plus DROS (up to 5 per). So 5 of them totals $125 in fees.
They are less than 5 mins off the 80 (right before traffic usually starts) and I am in and out in less than 10 mins. Hopefully you don't have to cross a bridge to get there. I have used Kevin Smith (kitchen table ffl) in Martinez before (roughly 2 years ago). He was quite a bit more expensive than Fairfield Pawn. Like $75 for the first but maybe more competition has forced him to lower his prices. Last edited by tonyxcom; 10-19-2013 at 11:18 AM.. |

I ordered five from Karri's about three weeks ago. They arrived in five days at my FFL; I picked them up this Monday and already sold one to a friend from work.
I also had a bunch of receivers from JD's in San Diego come in at the same time. The JD's are better finished than the Andersons -- I'd say the JD's are cosmetically flawless, where the Andersons show some very fine tooling marks inside the magwell (where nobody will ever look) and the surface finish is nicer on the JD's. There are some other differences, like some Anderson surfaces have a bit of a lip where the JD's are radiused out to the edge. The roll mark and serial # on the Andersons is weak and hard to read; the JD's engraving is crisp and deep. JD's are indeed works of art. But as far as I can tell, all the differences are cosmetic, and the Anderson receivers look and feel perfectly solid and made to spec. You can't beat the price from Karri's, and their service is beyond reproach. (In my avatar photo, the Andersons are the five on the left. The ones on the right are JD's, including the billet .308 lower at lower right -- bigger magwell, integral trigger guard.) Are JD's worth more than twice the price? If you're building a rifle where cosmetic perfection is worth that, plus an eight month wait -- sure. But if you want to get shooting, and want them delivered in a week -- can't beat Karri's. In fact, Karri's advertised the free shipping deal the day after I placed my order. That same day, I got an email from them telling me they were refunding the $10 shipping back to my credit card. How honest can you get? I give Anderson receivers a "not show quality, but workhorse quality" rating, and I give Karri's an "awesome service" rating. I will be ordering more from them. Does anyone know if their $50 LPKs are US-made and mil-spec? I'd rather pay a little more than buy one made in China. Last edited by Wander; 10-19-2013 at 4:03 PM.. |
